Topic:Report Post to Moderators
Well we're still at it with all the post-event stuff but now seems like the right time to take a breath.
Firstly we'd like to thank everybody who made the event the massive success it turned out to be, all the behind the scenes staff and helpers who played their part and fighters and trainers who all did their bit. Huge thanks to our loyal sponsors Sandee , Banned Fightwear , Nationwide Car Hire and MK Medical Network, without whom it would not be possible to continue promoting as we do.
Feedback from the show has been fantastic, 3500 people in the venue and 99.9% positive with a few helpful suggestions for improvements which we are grateful for and are already looking to rectify. Fairly sure we have responded to everybody so far who had messaged us, thanks for your input. There's no bigger critic than me and anyone ive spoken to since Saturday can vouch for that, it's finding the negatives that helps improve things so that's what I personally have been looking for so the next one is even better.
After losing the headlining bout 30 hours before the show we were obviously concerned but some other fighters stepped up to the plate and the general consensus seems to be that many of the fights delivered, albeit maybe not some of the ones that were tasty on paper. Ultimately we cant punch and kick for people but can only make the matches, many of which were received well when announced, as you can see throughout this thread. 2 KOs in 15 fights I think suggests good matchmaking, although Carlos vs Darren Howieson was supposed to end in a KO and surprisingly went to points haha. Its a bit of a weird one this time as some fights that people are saying were very good, others are saying were poor and vice versa. Nobody can seem to make up their mind which was the best! Dakota vs Georgina, Sugden v Epps, Lofthouse v McLachlan, Degraca vs Howieson and Stanton vs Alfaro seem to have the votes divided. I saw very little on the night so look forward to seeing the footage in a couple of weeks when its ready
DVDs will be available in a few weeks and also The Main Event TV series is set to start in the summer with all the coverage of Saturday's event penned in to be screened.
Matthew Goulden, I wasn't going to respond to that and have been advised not to but sometimes its nice to rebel - "I think the promoters should have acknowledged this to the customers in some way" Whenever there was a change in the card it was posted. On here, on facebook, on twitter, on our website, on everywhere where anyone could read anything about the show. Not sure what more you'd like us to do on that to be honest, open to suggestions though as always?
Good shout on the refereeing too Mr Robinson and thanks for you text on a job well done
That's me,
Thanks
