Fair enough, I take your point, I tried to touch on it, the time element makes a huge difference, time spent doing it obviously and who you clinch with/trains you how to do it.hahaha I did mean boonchu your right! I always enjoyed watching lerdsilla and Pajonsuk. Im not sure they necessarily what you'd class as clinch fighters but they throw people with such unbelievable ease its frightening. I got to say I havn't seen any UK fighters whose clinch actually stood out to me? I have only seen that gurkov fight once or twice but now you mention it he did seem to be a strong clincher.

I was never a fighter but always loved training muay thai. Clinching was always my favourite bit, tried to clinch whenever and where ever possible. Iv now got 2 herniated disks in my neck and osteophites pinching nerves around my spine and got told to never train combat sports again. I know 2 other guys in a very similar predicament. I think starting muay thai later in life and our climate do not lend themselves very well to excessive clinching! just my opinion
