Entry requirements

The K-1 Open World Amateur Championships is open to all competent competitive Martial Artists regardless of style or affiliations.

At Registration and weigh in all Competitors must produce Photo ID (Passport, ID card, EU driving License) a Medical certificate/document signed by a qualified Physician confirming the Competitor is medically fit to compete.

The minimum age for competitors is 7 years all Competitors under the age of 18 years must provide written permission of a parent or guardian.

Entrance fees

The K-1 Open World Amateur Championships is pre-entry only for competitors all competitors must register and pay the Entrance fee before the 7th September 2014

Competitors: £70.00 GBP

Spectators: £25.00 GBP (2 day pass)

Coaches: £10.00 GBP (2 day pass)

Teams with 5 of more competitors will receive 2 coaches passes free of charge

K-1 Open Rules Summary

K-1 Light Juniors Boys & Girls 8-14 years:

Absolutely no head contact, controlled light contact to body arms and legs, no spinning back fist,

3 x 1 minute rounds eliminations and finals, scoring criteria will favour technique over aggression

K-1 Light Cadets Boys & Girls 14-17 years:

Controlled light contact to head body arms and legs no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head

3 x 1 ½ minute rounds eliminations and finals, scoring criteria will favour technique over aggression

K-1 Light Seniors Men & Women 18-45 years:

Controlled light contact to head body arms and legs no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head

3 x 2 minute rounds eliminations and finals, scoring criteria will favour technique over aggression

K-1 Cadets Boys & Girls14-17 years:

K-1 Rules with exceptions, no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head, standing eight counts, referees will give a standing eight count for even minor signs of distress, un-wiliness to compete or inability to defend, 3 x 1 ½ minute rounds eliminations and finals, standard K-1 scoring criteria

K-1 Seniors B class Men & Women 18-40 years:

B Class Competitors must not have more than 10 fights and never competed in A class, records will be verified any competitor giving false information will be disqualified,K-1 Rules with exceptions, no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head 3 x 2 minute rounds eliminations and finals, standard K-1 scoring criteria

K-1 Seniors A class Men & Women 18-40 years:

K-1 rules all legal K-1 striking techniques allowed including spinning back fist and knees to the head

3 x 2 minute rounds eliminations and 3x3 minute round finals, standard K-1 scoring criteria (The A class division will be contested without head guards)

Compulsory Uniform and Equipment

K-1 Light Juniors & Cadets:

Vest or T-shirt, shorts, head guard, gum shield, body shield, Groin guard, shin and instep protectors, 10 oz boxing gloves, clothing must be clean and in good repair

K-1 Light Seniors:

Vest or T-shirt, shorts, head guard, gum shield, Groin guard, shin and instep protectors, 10 oz boxing gloves, clothing must be clean and in good repair

K-1 Cadets:

Vest or T-shirt, shorts, head guard, gum shield, body shield, Groin guard, shin and instep protectors, 10 oz boxing gloves, clothing must be clean and in good repair

K-1 Seniors B class

Vest or T-shirt, shorts, head guard, gum shield, Groin guard, shin and instep protectors, 10 oz boxing gloves, clothing must be clean and in good repair

K-1 Seniors A class

Shorts, gum shield, Groin guard, shin and instep protectors, 10 oz boxing gloves, clothing must be clean and in good repair

Awards

Every competitor will receive the Official K-1 Open Participation Certificate, the Semi-finalist (last 4) in each division will be awarded medals as follows:

1st Place Gold medal

2ndPlace Silver medal

3rdPlace Bronze medal (x2 joint third)

Eurostar arrives at St Pancras Station which is next to Kings Cross Underground where you can get a connection North Greenwich
