for training id say January is the best time of year because its the coolest month but either way you eventually acclimatize. december 5th is the kings birthday and always a great party for their beloved king, he hasnt been very well for the last few years so their might not be many more. i dread to think what the country will be like when he pass's he seems to be the only thing that can hold the place together and its still a super unstable country.

i dont really know current gyms in bangkok iv trained at 30+ gyms through thailand over 10 years but they are always changing and changing trainers. the best thing to do is find a trainer you like the look of on the internet or from old fights or anyway like that and go to them. any pinsinchai gym coach in general are absolute technicians there is a gym in chiang mai that has 7-10 pinsinchai coaches but its got so popular its gone commercial which is a real shame still its worth paying for privates from them. chay yai gym recently had karuhat sor supawan (probably in the top 10 best fighters of all time(maybe the best elbow fighter ever)) petchyindee in bkk is going to have some super coaches but it might be a little too hardcore for most id imagine
