KTMMA 3 hosts ISKA World Title fight between two of Britain’s finest!
KTMMA has been making headlines recently with the major announcement that KTMMA 3 will see the WFL’s top Chinese fighters take on England’s best in an incredible series of international bouts, creating a breath-taking card that has really captured the imagination. If this were not enough, however, KTMMA 3 also features a domestic Kickboxing bout with a World Title at stake, which would easily headline any number of shows, such is its quality. Reece Rowell, Essex kickboxing Academy’s dynamic Middleweight World Champion will defend his title against Cobra Gym’s Jon Durrant over 5x3 minute rounds.
Both men are KTMMA veterans with impeccable pedigree and the bout promises to be a classic with the champion actually giving away experience. Durrant is a credible challenger known for his stamina, durability and relentless style, having notched up 32 wins from his 44 outings, 14 by way of KO. Durrant is a British and Commonwealth champion in his own right and well-respected on the circuit. As mentioned, Jon is vastly experienced having tested himself across multiple disciplines, winning two British titles by the time he was 18 and he is currently Internationally ranked by the ISKA, WKA, IKF and WAKO Pro organisations.
Reece Rowell, under the tutelage of Steve Kerridge has quickly established himself as a household name in the kickboxing community with 20 wins from 25 outings, including 12 by way of KO. The younger of the two fighters, Rowell has also been fighting since he was a teenager and is now equally adept competing under Kickboxing or K-1 rules having won 9 of his 10 K-1 outings. Known for his speed, combinations and power, Rowell is mature beyond his years and proved this when he captured the ISKA World title in 2013.
Now these two established British stars will face off at KTMMA 3 for Rowell’s World Title and it is such a tantalising match that it can take the spotlight away from the incredible International showcase fights that surround it. Stylistically it promises to be a classic all-action bout and yet another reason to get your tickets for what is shaping up to be THE show of the year.
Saturday 14th of March is when these thrilling matches take place as part of KTMMA 3, the future of Combat Sports live from the ILEC Conference Centre in Earls Court London.
