KTMMA 3 Update: More matches confirmed for England versus China.
After highlighting some of the top quality match-ups lined up for KTMMA 3 we are pleased to announce more additions to the card that see the cream of England take on Chinas finest under both KTMMA and WLF Kickboxing rules. Under the KTMMA rules system Dan Vinni from the renowned Cobra Gym will make his second showing for KTMMA as a replacement for Galore Bofando against Chinas Nuerla Mulali, known for his striking ability. This is a tough bout for Vinni but in his favour he has a very rounded game, his victories coming equally by way of KO or submission, so if the fight goes into round 2 (the MMA round) he may find himself the favourite at that point..
BST Northampton and Icon BJJ fighter Jefferson George the shadow demon blaximus is a welcome addition to the KTMMA roster and a very strong athlete with a growing reputation. Known for his physical strength and durability, George will have to be at the top of his game as Wu Haotian, WLF China, is very experienced and has won 13 of his fights by way of submission, favouring the rear-naked choke. George can take heart from the fact that Haotian can be inconsistent and Jefferson is just the man to exploit any weaknesses in his opponents game.
There are also two new matches under WLF Kickboxing rules with Ben Hodge, whose stablemate from Lumpini Crawley Ruth Ashdown, is also on the card, facing Guo Xi chuang. Chuangs record reflects his fighting style as he is an all-action fighter who likes to stand and trade and really go for the win, making him exciting to watch but also leaving him open to the counter. An explosive stoppage victory over Kamel Mezatni at YOKKAO 9 in 2014 in two rounds highlighted Chuangs explosive kicking and willingness to take a shot to deliver his own punches and eventually wear his opponent down. Hodge has an impeccable pedigree however with an incredible junior fight record of 10 wins from 12 fights winning the English Champion and British Champion titles. Its form he has continued into his senior career as he is the current WPMF European Champion, UKMF English Champion and ISKA British Champion. Given the quality of the two fighters this has the potential to be a crowd-pleasing war.
Heavyweight prospect and powerhouse Aundre Groce joins stablemate Kerrith Bhella as a KTMMA debutant as he takes on Sanda heavyweight Champion Tang Fei. Both men are light on their feet for heavyweights and carry knockout power allied to excellent kicking ability so it would be no surprise if this heavyweight encounter failed to go the distance, the only question being which of these two big men will still be standing to acknowledge the win and the accolades?
KTMMA 3 promises to be the most exciting KTMMA International showcase yet, providing a rare opportunity to see such a number of Chinas finest fighters on one card in the UK. The show takes place on Saturday 14th of March at the ILEC Conference Centre in Earls Court London.
