Muaythai is a traditional Thai combat sport, known as the “8 gun fight” it was developed specifically in Thailand. Due to its strategic location, Thailand had become a commercially important region. Muay emerges as a defense and war technique, developed by the Thais for their protection and for the defense of their territory against enemies. This fight spread in Thailand and, in addition to military purposes, began to be practiced as a sport. Today Muay Thai has fans all over the world and has become an Olympic sport. In his native Thailand, Muaythai, billed as the “sport of kings”, is the national pastime. And the book The History of Muay Thai - Thai Fight tells the story of this fight.
