Lincoln Boney came good around the time when the British Thai Boxing Council (the first main Association in the uk) failed to cater for the southerners.
They (inc. Lincon who was one of the organisers) formed their own Association, the British Muay Thai Association.
Both argued about who was the real representatives of the uk, and at one stage they were both the ONLY members affiliated to Thom Harrinks EMTA.
I believe Lincoln 'got in' with the EMTA, and as he was the top man it was his fighters (from his gym) that were doing a bit of representing abroad.
He had some good boxers down there, but they struggled when they stepped up in class abroad, and rarely did the north v south fights that were so often threatened ever happen.
Like all gym owners who run associations, he looked after his own, but usually they were the best down south anyway.
Lincoln was a good manager for his fighters, and came up to Toddy's to try to improve his techniques.
He managed to get c class fighters ranked in Europe and protected his fighters against tough opposition.
He was a good guy if you were one of his. Kevin Jemmont and the Howells spring to mind (and he had a few heavy's who were kickboxers). I believe Aundrey went a long way in the Am boxing, although he lost badly to Kenniche in France. Michelle O'Boro was a good fighter. She had a cracker when she lost to Lisa Howarth, unlucky that here technique wasn't on parr as she was strong a very fit.
I think Michelle went to Holland (i have a fight somewhere showing a lot of improvement) and now boxes.
This is off my head,
