How times have changed,Andrew POWERHOUSE Peck used to train under Sam Marsters at Fort Street in central Auckland.I used to train him along with Roger Earp,Bikim and any one else who was keen to train.Andrew who I 1st met was always keen on trainning but was a bit down on confidence. He I recall had his 1st belt on the Steve Message VS Clinton Simmons under card which was held at the Down town convention centre. He won a close decision against a Sir Dorr fighter and rested a bit after that.He had already had a Karate back ground and was showing a lot of potential, until he left for Japan. That was 14 years ago...The shock I got when I seen him K.O. everyone in the NZ K1 was HEART ATTACK material.I could nt beleive that this was the quite shy kid who was always keen to train but just a little shy.I am glad for you mate.....You should have seen the look on my face when I was watching the video.Non the less people change, and so has Andrew........Stay focussed mate , don t worry about what has gone on in the past.Win or Loss, you can waste a lot of time dealing with the public..Train hard and the results will follow.Focuss on the Aussies and you will win.Denver,My regards to the boys.
