serkan yılmaz is the student of my student sadık oflu (who was also worldwide champ)from istanbul...sadık was from my fc-class 1985's(at that times we had 3 classes;fc, kb,mt trained seperately)...serkan's most of the fights (except some low-kick bouts) were fc-fights ...and as far as i see,his fighting strategy and tactics are exactly the same as sadık had "spin, back kicks, direct long punches, high kicks etc needed in fc-fights "in the past...
serkan has also no mt-experience...he has fought in "iaksa and wako"in amateur in the past ...however, he is a very bravehard guy ,no fear and has a very good top physical condition...the only disadvantage of him is that he has left his trainer and training alone in different gyms...he was discovered by tarık solak in istanbul when he brought the guy of solak into trouble during sparring and since this time been frequently brought to k-1 fights or to australia a week before profi fights( since he is a ready dish for the organizator...)
as far as i see this 150 fight figure is a bit exchagerated ...however, i believe that he has done about 100 fights at least...
it seems so that his success in k-1 max story is coming from the reason namely that in k-1 series %98 fighters are dealing generaly with direct fight strategy (low kicks ,punches, knees etc) and when they are faced suddently with "back, spin kicks etc" they got easy surprised and it seemed that those most of the japanese fighters were not qualified since they couldn't awake early and arrange their startegies against serkan's spin, back kicks and direct punches...
