Hi Jones
Don't worry I didn't take offence to the mis-confusion with the bulldog thing.
I like what you are saying in your thread mate.
Promoters who arrange mis-matches are doing the wrong thing. First of all it is unsafe. That is how are sport gets a bad name. Secondly I know there are promoters out there that do this so fighters,(some times fighters they train or other fighters who will line their pockets with dollars from ticket sales)can obtain an unbeaten record. What is the point of having an unbeaten record but everyone you have beaten has been a mug. What will happen to this type of fighter when they fight a class act. With the fighters I train I match them accordingly to the abilty but not just against fighters I know they are going to beat. Beating mugs will do nothing for them in the long run. When I match Title fights against my fighters I get the best fighters my budget will allow me to get. Other wise you just have paper champions.
I have also noticed in all the years I have spent in this sport as a Fighter,Trainer,Promoter & Ring Official that the majority of paying customers pay good money to see good fights not mismatches.
