I hope sanity has prevailed after what I saw last night. Any trainer or promoter that arranges a fight two week before an already matched fight is an idiot if he is the trainer and a backstabber if he is the promoter. This kind of thing ruins the sport and is very unprofessional. In NSW if a fight is stopped either by TKO or KO then the fighters cant fight again for 30 days.

Where is the respect? In my view these people are not worthy to be dealt with by credible sanctioning bodies. Whilst their opponents are training hard they are preparing for another fight. Its hard enough telling a fighter that his guy has pulled out through injury but when its because he fought two weeks earlier thats bullshit. I question if a fighter can recover in two weeks from the mental and physical effort that goes into a fight, especially a title fight.

Sorry to have a snap but it pisses me off having to be exposed to stupid trainers who reflect poorly on the promoters who then cop it from the crowd because the advertised fights dont go ahead. Maybe I am overeacting. I am interested in the thoughts of others on the matter.
