About This Help System

With this help system, you can view product documentation, display context-sensitive topics, search on words and phrases, and print and bookmark help topics.

The VMware Tools help system contains topics that help you use the VMware Tools control panel. These topics are not product-specific. For information about which VMware Tools features are available in the VMware product you are using, see the documentation for that VMware product.

When you click a Help button from within a dialog box, a help window appears, and a context-sensitive topic is displayed for that dialog box or tab.

You can also use the Contents, Index, and Search tabs in the left pane of the help window to locate topics of interest.

Button	Description
	Shows the next topic.
	Shows the previous topic.
	Shows the location of the current topic in the Contents pane.

Use the Favorites tab to bookmark topics for future reference.

Note

When you update the software, the files in the help system might be uninstalled and reinstalled and bookmarks might be lost.
