We just got a call from the King of the Cage promoter and it looks like me and Stephanee are on early Dec. in Penrith Sydney full Thai rules (with elbows).
I mentioned I wanted to fight Stephynee and the promoter was very interested so the fight is on!

Seriously, Phon (Poineer) and some of the others from Stephs circle use this site and for the better of the sport as a whole we all try our best to be mature. There is always challenge going on and always favorites. I like how Steph fights and I like Angie too. I have come to be a huge supporter of Angie and Steph and all other female fighters in the Oceania region. I wish I could get a chance to watch them both fight more often because both of them are world class athletes. I have alot of time and respect for all of the people that Phon's gym produces as I have over the years. I have also become a big fan of how Wayne and Angie are as fighters and as friends.
I think this will be a big fight for Oceania Muay Ying, in a cage or not its still a big fight. Personally I have to back Angie due to the level of fighters she has gone against and her sheer grit.

I think Stephynee would be shocked and embarrassed that you are on here saying offensive things in the name of supporting her.

I know who I am and what I have done in my career and I have watched Steph video, I think she is strong and I have a hard fight and I will be training for it like any of my other fights. Then we will see who the best fighter living in AUS really is. I thought it was kinda funny that it said Australia's Best, I am not Australian, but I am a resident and I love this Country as well as my own. I am happy to represent QLD, AUS.

The way you try to be Steph supporter, is not the nice way and no sportsmanship that all. Nobody want to put one of those fighter down and the way this fight will be, is just a nice opportunity for both fighters ho are world class athlete to give to all of us ho support them, a real Muay Thai fight, where the one is better train and better condition at that moment will win.

I do appreciate Phon's gym very much for all the success what they have and for the way Phon fighter are train, because he put heart in his training and work in that way, he think is the best for his fighter and his gym. Also Steph is a world class fighter too and she young and have a great future in front, but she wouldn't be very happy that you are on here saying offensive things in the name of supporting her.

But this things, no matter which supporter you are for Steph. or anybody else you are not allowed, to talk like that, about a great fighter how is Angela. I let you know, she work very hard to be here where is she today, which is not easy and only with sacrifice from something else in life and hard work specific, she was able to maintained her performance. And the thing cause her husband is involve in same activity like her, brought them more success and more understanding. I think its the same cage, rexy, but the grappling rules are a bit different. And i dont think the squirrel grip is allowed

I remember meeting Angela Parr at the World Championships 2001 in Bangkok when she won the gold medal in my weight division. She is a great person and not only that; a talented and skilled fighter.

The amount of fights involving Angie in the last 8+ months says allot about A.P's drawing power. To see two Women so prominent in the fight poster proves there is an audience for top-notch women fighters. I applaud the Australian’s for there activity in promoting Women's Muay Thai.
Angie , Karen, Stephynee, Shahan, Tenille,..etc...Are helping to convert allot of promoters to put them out in the public eye, promoting this sport.
Angie and Stephynee both think they are better than the other so what better way to resolve this than with a little bad intent in a cage or ring?
Sounds exciting to me, wish I could be there.
Angela's successes began well before she hooked up with JWP. She's improved as a fighter under his wing so hat's off to her. She bounced back from a bad loss by multiple title holder and won her next fight decisively,...that shows character, A character that some felt you attacked here.

THis will be good, what bugs me is that neither is a real KO artist. I know some of you MT purists will say that skill etc is what matters and there is no doubt both ladies posses lots of it. Nevertheless, I am old school and I like vicious KO's (provided no one gets hurt etc) and there are few women MT fighters that are true KO artists, only one that comes to mind is that machine from Holland. In any case good luck to both, lets hope for a KO and lets hope nothing weird prevents this fight from taking place.

This fight is supposed to be full blown with elbows... so who thinks there will be blood? I have to admit I've seen few women's fights with elbows and most all have been with pads but never have I seen vicious elbow usage etc. Anyone think this will be one for the books? With all the talk of Germaine and the possibility of one of these fighters taking her on in the future I would think both would have much to prove by making an example of the other and silencing all the Germainecoholics. Any ideas, comments, questions concerns? Pray tell.

Yeah I figured that much but my question is does anyone have any comments on either fighters elbow usage in the past and how many folks have seen vicious elbows from women fighters. Pardon my ignorance or lack of exposure but I've hardly ever seen many women elbow fights.... moreover the ones I have seen have been with pads on the elbow. Which brings up the next question.... will pads be used in this fight? Anyone care to add or broaden this discussion?

No, I doubt elbow pads will be used mate, Angie fought Karen Lynch a few months back (same rules ,i.e Full Thai Rules, in a cage) and pads weren't used in that fight, and yes elbows were used. I'm guessing this will be the same scenario.

OK thanks for the info Aaron... now on to my next question... most fights I've seen or read about that take place in QLD area have been bloody messes, which Im ashamed to admit I like I am a blood thirsty bastard, so my next question is, how many brutal elbow blows or fights have their been involving women? Im a purist as I've said before but I have to admit I kind of cringe at the tought of two women beating each other with elbows but on that same note I say if you're gonna do it you might as well do it the right way and go all the way. lol In the Parr vs Lynch fight who won? Just got back from the fight. I lost on points. Was a good fight, I took 3 and 4 off, that lost me the fight. I came back hard on the 5th but Step won. She is a lovely girl and but would fight her again easy.
