Unfortunately George lost on points. He fought a Canadian. The guy is 26 years old and George is only 16 so he was a bit too strong.

It was a great learnin fight for George - good experience.

George was ace, in typical bad co fashion he never stopped coming forward in that relentless style but his opponent was excellent. George fought bravely (even though the thai commentator kept calling him Gog from Italy!)
i met Mellisa outside when she was sat on the pavement having her hands wrapped cool as a cucumber. she is a really nice lady, she ko'd the thai in i think either the 3rd or 4th.
Rob
Posted: 2009-08-12 02:51:29
Mellisa looked very good last night, as everyone else mentioned she is real nice person outside the ring and would be the last person you would think of as a fighter, but she seemed to have added a bit of aggression and determination to her game and never stopped going forward from the off and it paid off. Claire outclassed her opponent, and ref stepped in to stop it as was one way by the end. George was a credit to his gym, huge heart for a youngster and looks to be a real prospect for the future
