As detailed elsewhere, I now have to re-match Chantelle for my show on 6th Sept, her opponent have withdrawn with 2 months still to go.

So, if there is anyone out there who has an amatuer fighter who can make the IKF title limit of 62.27 kilos and who wants to compete for the IKF British amateur title then please let us know.

All enquiries in confidence to tkokickboxing@hotmail.co.uk

Not a stupid question mate...its because Liam thats what she is and its part of the on going movement in full contact to establish a clear amateur structure...which in the long term will produce far better professional fighters.

The new blueprint for FC will be to have a clear Amateur/PRO divide just like in boxing.
That way when you see novice fighters, they are wearing headguards so their status as an amateur is clear. In the long run fighters without headguards will be of a higher calibre. The public will then know that the fighter without a headguard is a PRO

Colin - just had a thought - Stewart Beattie has a good girl around 61/2kg and as she's from Belfast it could be a British Title fight.
Call me when you get a chance.

hi Colin
I have started coaching a girl who has fought in the ring but not competed for 2 years and has a Karate background but she is now under my gym and am coaching her one to one and Sept will be her first test
you know we throw our fighters in with the lions and fear no one
she is 65 kg at present but i can get her down to 62.7-63kg
her name is Kelly the rock Rose
she will fight f/c K1 or low kick and maybe Thai by the new yr

Pleased to say I have solved the problem of who will fight Chantelle. She meets Stacey Dougherty from Northern Ireland for the IKF British amateur super-lightweight title and thanks go to Stewart Beattie for his help.

To be honest still feel very let down by the withdrawal of the orginal opponent and the lack of professionalism exhibited by that camp is a big problem that the sport has to deal with if we are to move forward IMO, however we move on and can look forward to this fight. Had Stewart over before and he was recently on the Unleashed event in Telford. Nice people, professional to deal with.
