Mersey Thai Show - Olympia Liverpool 10 October 09
We are starting to match fighters up for our show at the Olympia, Liverpool saturday 10th October 2009, the show will be filmed by P4TV and the referee and judges will be Darren Philips and his team from GFC scoring will be muay thai criterea (effect over work rate), the weigh-in will be day before (arrangements will be made for long distance fighters).
If anyone is interested in getting there novice - B class fighters on the show please email asap as the show is starting to match quickley.

Thanks guys, wanted to get this on for ages, not enough shows on home soil for our fighters and as you know Simon we do loads of mileage to get our fighters out as you do yourself and its unfair when family/friends cant travel to support and i know you want to get your own shows rolling so between the two of us we should get a few shows out each year and i will always support you aswell mate, daz morris is coming (hes gotta a nice car lol)..

lol Daz we dont use screwdrivers these days we will just nick ya keys haha, we are juggling with the idea of a couple of A class at the moment ive got a few names for A class so watch this space, the venue is excellent and i was told Jack Johnson once boxed there, i will be intouch with everyone who has left messages over the next few days(not being ignorant) just juggling work and the gym classes..mayhem lol

top venue the olympia did a show last year there with Larry Holmes / Ernie Shavers an John H Stracey ,steeped in legend this place,

It Might be of some use but Evidence of the lift mechanism and living areas for lions can still be found under the theatre. The roof space still holds pulley (might be handy for knockouts), The ornate interior still reflects the buildings past with elephants, lions and set into Indian Panelling.

Who knows one day our lads could be immortalized in there any ideas ????

P.S Dont think lack johnson fought at olympia ??

I got told Jack Johnson fought an expedition bout there, one of our xboxers fought last friday (Steve Williams) at the olympia and the comentator of Sky tv mentioned Jack Johnson fought there (false advertising lol)

just got back from italy where dixie fought kaoponlek. the mc did his set from ringside. just a voice on mic. no climbing in and out of the ring. and it worked. very professional.

After mufc getting stuffed in the euro I felt u poor little mancs cud do with some love and attention lol

tickets are £25 outer circle and balconey, £35 ringside(limited) and £30 on the door, doors open 5.30pm show starts 6.30pm should have tickets/posters this time next week had a few problems with the printers.
