Denise Mellor is at 46kg and will fight -47.5kg.

Just heard that Tracey Richards from Al's gym in Cornwall has hung up her gloves unfortunatly - she was 45/46kg.

45kg - 50kg is a big weight range - thats 10% of the bodyweight. Majority of 46kg girls walk around at that weight so fighting a 50kg girl who weighed in day before may mean a difference of 46kg - 52kg in the ring (over 10% of the lighter fighters).

As I was talking about with Noel before I am planning a -47.5kg 8 girl tournament for later this year - probably November. I have about 5 girls already so if anyone is interested then please email me - hopefully these girls who are just starting out now will be ready for it come November?

But the weight will be a strict -47.5kg and fighters will be of all levels to make this happen.

ie: UKMF -49kilos good one

then theres Flyweight in many others thats -50kilos
and Straw weight45 to 48

Iam holding a small fund raising show of around 300 people in order to raise money for our gym and as i have noticed you all have posted comments on AX RE; 50kg fighters/match for Amy Pirnie, i was hoping by sending you all this e mail we could finally get Amy matched @ around 50kg C/B class??? day before weigh in

The show is on friday the 14th MAY, we will cover all expenses for travel ie flights, transfers or petrol money, put the fighter and corner up in hotel for 2 nights B/B, pay the fighter £100 and corner £100 for expenses.

Theres no two ways about it Amy is a great little fighter, she is still young(17 at show date), but surely there must be a match for her???

so guys if you have / know someone who can match this fight could you get back to me ASAP! any help in this would be very much appreciated
