Sanchai vs Nopparat part 5

Sanchai showing his usual sublime skills early on, but Nopparat also on top form making it very close, Sanchai had a great 3rd, but Noparta a huge 4th round, where he repeatedly span Sanchai to the canvas and also landed with solid knees that really slowed Sanchai down. Sanchai had to chase the fight in the final round as he was behind and shook up Nopparat a little with punches and scored well with kicks and knees. The fight finished super close again, but Nopparat got the nod and won Sanchai's Lumpini 130 pound title in the process

Sanchai vs Nopparat part 5

Looks like Nopparat's trainer Hatyai Kiatchaiyo, is backing a great team in the World cup too! :)

Brilliant photos as usual Rob. All the fights have been close between these two. Sanchai does seem to find tall knee fighters hard to beat. I would love to have seen the fight.

I've just noticed - How come in one of the pictures, neither fighter is wearing anklets, but in the other pictures they are?

I think quite a few Thai fighters take the anklets off in the later rounds, not sure why maybe when they havewarmed up a little?

I think its less painful to take them off after rather than during the fight. Due to swelling i would think???
