I've been using supplements for many years with mixed results. For the past eight weeks I got hooked on one specific line and it has worked wonders for my muay thai/kickboxing training. Last weekend after taking a year off of fighting I won the King of the Ring Thai boxing tournament in Commerce City Colorado. I won both fights by KO! I attribute a lot of my success to proper diet and supplementation. If you want info on the line or just want to try some for yourself check out my webpage: advocare.com/0707399

Check this out. Several of the gyms I attend have decided to sell these supplements exclusively. You can\'t make a good living as a trainer only. This may help you increase your income while still doing what you love. Watch the presentation: presentation4trainers.com

Attended a seminar on nutritional suppliments presented by one of the nutritionists from the hospital I work at here in Toronto. Some random but interesting points she taught us:
-The need for suppliments are due in large to the reduced nutrients in our soils and therefore in our food
-One of the most valuable (if not THE most valuable)supplements is Omega (3/6/9)which helps to maintain healthy brain and heart function
-Avoid Tablets - they tend to contain glue, tar and other harmful ingredients to maintain their form, sometimes they don't even completely break down and go right through you. Try to use chewable tablets or gel capsules
-Drinking fluids (especially cold ones) within 1-1.5 hours of eating will interfere with digestion
-Other recommended supplements for athletes: L-Glutamine and Amino Acids (both help recovery and maintain muscles)
This is what I was told but feel free to correct me if you disagree. Hope you find this useful!
I also wanted to add, that one of the most overlooked factors that impact athletic performance is general health.
Being "fit" does not necessarily mean you are healthy.
IMO supplements are not a substitute for real, natural, wholesome food.

One of the few out there that really got my attention.

the composition or supplement described above is used to treat an immune system disease as described above by
administering the composition at a concentration or dosage as described to an individual in need of such treatment."
That is from the patent..
The immune system is all about the whole body and about recovery after training etc also...
This product stands out in my opinion.

[0024] Additionally, the invention is original and novel because it can not only assist in preventing possible causes of cancer,
but, it inhibits or reduces cancer cell growth in breast, colon and prostate cancer cases, and facilitates the removal of the dead
tissue arising from the death of the said tumors. That is, the composition can modulate or optimize, as opposed to only
boosting, the immune system, as discussed below.
How's that from a patent? "reduces cancer cell growth in breast, colon and prostate cancer cases"
I can give a vote each way from experience for Beta Alanine and L-Glutamine.
Beta Alanine I've found great as a pre-training supplement to develop explosiveness, and Glutamine has been great day and night in terms of minimizing recovery times.
