Lam sure is awesome.
Farid is a tough opponent for anyone.
Whats Shanes stats? He's the local boy, isnt he?
Is this a WBC defence? Or is it the next weight up for Lam?

I think Mr Wakeling is eyeing up that WBC belt. :)

Shane is from Ontario, fights out of Iron Tiger under Alin Halmagean...has beaten Trevor Smandych, Alain Sylvestre, Chris Ngimbi, Adam Higson. Very solid fighter and is in the next I-1 tournament in Hong Kong...

Sean Wright (a.k.a. "Caestus") from Scotland, semifinalist in “The Contender Asia Season 1”, holder of SIMTA and IMTC British titles, and WMC Intercontinental Champion.

Wanlop Sitpholek (a.k.a. “Sharuto”), Thailand’s Muaythai legend, winner of numerous world championships and stadium titles.

Shane Campbell (a.k.a. “Shaolin”), Canada’s best middleweight, reigning world champion of WKA.

Dmitry Valent (a.k.a. “Black Valet”) from Belarus, 3-time world champion of WKN, undefeated IFMA European Champion.

Lamsongkram has got the WMC title over his shoulder and the WBC around his waist. Arent they the same organisation?
Pisand

No, Darren, the WMC and WBC are separate sanctioning bodies. But WBC + WMC + S-1 and RAJA...not too shabby.

Roxy has really come down in weight and Claudia used to fight at 118lbs I believe.

Any chance she will fight at that weight again?

full flyer with typos fixed. I'm not fighting claudia (although i did in a smoker a long time ago when i was really light and she was heavier). i'm fighting noelani brown to defend my title.

Roxy the flyer at the top of this thread is the new flyer and Claudia was lighter than you at the smoker a long time ago. The flyer you have is out dated. Noelani is out due to a family problem and we wish her the best...she is a good fighter. I'am sure she will sort this out and be back even stronger when she is ready to come back. Sorry if this is your firt time hearing about this on a public fourm. If you need to talk to me please e-mail me.

Fighting a caliber of fighter like Lamsongkram can only make Shane a better figher, regardless of the outcome.

Isn't that the point afterall, to challege tougher opponents and get better in the process?

koi masurata:

In December 2006 Shane Campbell fought against Michael Mananquil. The fight take place in Florida and was a Full Muay Thai rules fight. Shane won the fight by TKO due to a elbow strike in the first round. Michael Mananquil is the WBC USA Muay Thai Champion and still the undisputed best 147 lbs fighter in North America.

On March 2007 Shane Campbell fought against Duch fighter Chris Ngimbi. The fight take place in Virginia and was for the WKA World Title. Shane won the fight after a five round war and became the WKA World Muay Thai Champion. Later that year Shane and Chris fought again a five round war and this time Chris Ngimbi was the winer. Chris Ngimbi come's from a top Duch Muay Thai GYM (Calmaro) and curently fights under K-1 Max http://www.k-1.co.jp/k-1gp/fighter/chris_ngimbi.htm

On May 2007 Shane Campbell fought against Trevor Smandych. The fight took place in Florida and again Shane won by unanimous decision after 3 Rounds. Trevor is one of the most decorated Muay Thai fighters in North America with an impresive record and come's from the legendary Mike Miles Camp in Canada, also Trevor was on the fist Contender Asia Show.

On July 2008 Shane Campbell fought against Alain Sylvestre. Shane won a five
round unanimous decision after dominating all five rounds. Alain dedicated his life to the sport of Muay Thai, he was Ranked number 3 at the Lumpini Stadium and fought Thailand's best many times.

And most recently Shane fought against Adam Higson. Shane won this fight also. Adam Higson make History in the sport of Muay Thai in North American for the last 10 years, he also fights in Shootbox in Japan.

Based on all this results Shane Campbell was Ranked by WBC Number 1 in North America and number 9 in the World. If Mr. Lumsongkram Chuwattana acepted to defend his Title in North America, Mr. Denis Warner offered the Number 1 Ranked fighter in North America the chance to fight Lumsongkram. If Chuwattana's Camp will decide that Lumsongkram will defend his Tilte next in Europe the european promoters will have to have him fight a Muay Thai fighter that is ranked number 1 to 10 from Europe, same iF Lomsongkram will fight in Australia it is comon practice that the promoteur in Australia will have him fight an australian top Ranked fighter by the WBC.

Unfortunatly after all the hipe on the Shane Campbell vs. Lumsongkram Chuwattana fight will not happen this time but we send one of Canada's best fightrs Mukai Maromo to represent us. Please come witness the incredible african genetics, speed and power of "The African Warrior" will match the experiance and timeing of one of Thailand's best fighters Lumsongkram Chuwattana.

koi masutra, I assume that by calling Shane Campbell a joke you are calling all his past opponets a joke to? That is very disrespectfull for the sport of Muay Thai, I can see that you have something against my fighter by posting 4 posts in the row all negative in regards to Shane. Please keep you hate for the ring and let my young fighter grow in this sport.

With all the respect for all the fighters and Camp's mentioned above,

Alin

Good to see Craig Buchanan back in action, think hes been out a while.
FYI Shane is a class young fighter with a big future and I totally agreew ith him stepping up to fight ANYONE in the world no matter how good. That is what makes a true champion not hiding behind easy opponents stateside. Chok dee
