Good Luck with the show :)
anyone know any results from this one ?
Wasn,t there but the grapevine says Julie and Sean both won (Well done both ; ))
So did Ryan and there wins for Tug and Sean Facey.
Nathan must still be partying if he hasn,t come on here with the results by now
; )
nathan stopped partying considerably earlier than what he possibly would have chosen, due to the intensisty of his celebration!
i don't expect him to be coherant for a few days!
it was an absolutly brilliant show - one of the best i have ever been to.
all fighters did really well, pure entertainment & quality.
julie was brilliant - she had a really really tough fight but was the deserved winner. its the first time i have seen her fight & it was well worth the trip. absolute class.
sean is awesome too. he was sharp, clinical, compact, strong, clever, he kicked & punched really well - his opponant was no mug - he caught sean with some shots that woudl have sent the average guy into next week - sean was too strong for him, but would have out fought him on points anyway. i am a complete fan of this guy, i absolutly love him!
lucy payne had a tough fight, very tough & very close, and could have gone either way, but a really good fight & she is definitly an exciting prospect for both thai & fc. have to give applause to bill juds fighter (sorry can't remeber her name) she was really good.
i don't know all the fighters names, but actually every fight was really well matched and absolute respect to all involved.
Fantastic show .Well run, capacity crowd with a great atmosphere !
Well done Julie (ultra Hot Fox)
Also Sean.
Not Sure if Dirty Fox is still alive . He had a pulse and was in the recovery position when i last saw him . LOL
hey guys, still just alive but nearly hospital job, there is a time to give up partying and my time is now.ive had a laugh the last year or so but consistantly drinking and being scandalous is making a mockery of my family who are too important to me.
the show was 5 levels above anything i expected,i take a lot of credit, but howard hughes and karen ousey did a hell of a lot from their end and i owe them soooo much.
the setting up of the show took 9 hours,700 chairs had to be fetched from another venue but i could only fit 37 chairs at a time in my van, julie was carrying chairs all day, never once complained or thought about herself and woke up aching on the day of her fight, she never fails to amaze me.
onto the fights.
liam pender defeated morgan ballard to become southwest champion in a rematch which went to morgan last time,i didnt see it but these 2 are a credit to the sport.
elliott lloyd beat lewis jordan-arthur meek is always a pleasure to work with, polite, reliable and his fighters always a good standard.
mandy tredinnick bt christina hopper in a fantastic bout, loads of control, great handwork from both and both very tough.
ryan mann bt tom davies in a very close match which could have gone either way without complaint-the workrate was amazing.
lucy payne bt claudia celdar in a cracking female bout,2 rounda a piece going into the 5th,claudia never went backwards and lucy at 17 yrs old proved herself as one of the top upcoming females i have seen for ages.
tug walkie bt isaac ashley-i was a little dissapointed with the result but will watch the dvd as by now i was a stone lighter and very excited-all respect to tug who came to fight, was a great kicker and well trained by dave wilkins, congratulations tug -the new southwest champion.
sean facey defeated lee toms--from the 1sr round,it was clear that sean was just a level up from lee, seans clinchwork and throws were awesome, lee is one of my strongest fighters so sean facey must be a freak to clinch with.good luck to sean who has dropped to 70kg.
matt murt defeated dan wilson to become the southwest champion @64kg,i didnt watch the bout but the crowd were loving it and i know both these lads are strong and well trained.
julie kitchen bt natalie fuz,an absolute honour to have guests from the usa in my small town of penzance.natalie is very tough,so i knew a stoppage wasnt happening, but julie took control and just makes huge combinations look so easy.this is julies 8th fight in 12 months and taking her 8th world title means a lot.
joe kmotorka bt steve barrow in a war from the bell, joe is very strong and just opened up a little too much for steve who is in his 40s but is still the most intimidating looking fighter at his weight.i really wanted steve to win this as he is a great guy,who i think will call it a day now.
annabelle gely bt caz brixton to become the southern champion at -60kg-great tactics from annabelle who was edging ahead very early,i would say she took every round but caz has been one of the most amazing fighters i have had in my gym.to start thaiboxing at 40 and in exactly 1 year, she has had 8 fights with 6 wins, with her grandson at ringside is just inspirational,i have advised her to call it a day,but i hope she still trains.
ryan tamblin bt marius daubly under oriental rules in a title defence-ryan took hard shots in the first and second 2 eight counts, and it looked like the fight was marius,s all day before the body kick from hell emerged.ryan has trained with me for 16 years and i am so proud of him.
lewe sergeant bt allan beattie in another war which again was going against the touchgloves fighter before lee came back to stop allan in the last round-one of the most exciting novice bouts i have ever witnessed.
sean bowman became iska world champion in a well deserved stoppage victory over nuno duran who has been a fantastic guest for the weekend and a credit to his gym.sean is just basically unbeatable because when he does make mistakes and get caught,it just dosent hurt him.too many fights on pikey campsites and in prison just makes ringsport fighting a peice of cake for him.i do have to say though that a 2 year lay off is hard for any fighter and he trained extremely hard for this match.great comeback and still undefeated.
thanks to everyone who supported.xxxxxx
Well done guys, you are truly an inspiration to me for all your hard work, talent and sheer humbleness. I am in awe of you.
Rach Jones
well done on what sounds like a great show . Pity i couldn't get down for this one . really wanted to see a few of these matches .

will have more pics up as they come to me--must say also thanks to malcolm martin for mcing-really made the show special for the fighters.
emotional shot from both lads,it is very hard to train other peoples kids but when its your own,its even harder, well done higher level.
Amazing show- the best we have been to this year by far.
Sean felt like a real superstar.
The Cornish hospitality is second to none, i cant wait for the next one down in Cornwall.
Julie- AWESOME!!!
Sean Bowman - AWESOME!!
A credit to all involved and especially Nathan and Julie who have worked so hard to make this show what it was.
Fantastic day, I agree with lee, We've been on some really good shows this year and this was the best, The atmosphere was electric, Liam said the entrance was "wicked!!" Which is all down to nathan, julie & team for a well run show
Great show Nathan,
I don't always stay to see the end but I am a Bowman fan so I sat and enjoyed
the whole spectacle. The matches were good, the action was first class, the tension was something else for a couple of your home fighters who turned a certain drubbing into a stunning victory. Sean Bowman didn't disappoint. And Julie Kitchen, as professional in the fight as she is dignified out of the ring.
Congratulations Touch Gloves.
hi Nath,
Awesome show,
You and Julie work really hard to put on a show like that and it has a positive knock on effect for Cornwall..
Thanks for inviting us again Nath..loved the day.
Congrats to Julie,Sean etc.
Now the stress is over lets get that night out in sunny Falmouth sorted soon...lol
Ian
