Liam Harrisons last opponent Saketdau fought Sanchai in Sanchi's retirement fight yesterday at Lumpinee.

Saketdau won on points.

Liam has fought Sanchai AND Sagetdau this year and gave both hard fights. This just shows teh level that he is fighting at.

Anyone got a write up of the show? I know the results but would love to know more detail as to how they all squared up.

Quite a few KOs for a top shelf show.

These are three fantastic athletes, if Sanchai was to come out of (or forget about) retiring and if there was proper betting in our sport be happy to place a Sanchai to beat Saketdeaw, Liam to beat Anuwat, Liam to beat Saketdeaw triple... I'd do a four fold with Leeds to get promoted to championship but I'm not a gambling man.....

Was at Kiatoetch gym last week, Sagetdao was in serious condition for this fight, they were saying at the gym it was a bigger fight than Thanondeth winning the Lumpinee title and Thanondeth has been the golden boy at Kiatpetch gym.

Great win and hes a the funniest thai boy ever!!!

Peter Crouch is his fav footballer...... great fighter but Peter Crouch come on..

Does that mean he is num 1 in thailand + Lumpini champion at that weight ( 128 bls or 59kgs is that right)

Posted: 2009-12-10 16:09:10
He's only been my fav fighter since i first seen him beat Anuwat for the 57kg Ratchadamnern title back in April but good on him for geting the award. He has a tall and skinny frame yet looks unbelievably strong in the clinch and has an nice high tight guard.

Can you be Raja and Lumpini champ at the same time?

Posted: 2009-12-10 16:32:55
hes the lightweight lumpinee champion think thats what he foguth saenchai for even tho they had to weigh lighter

Posted: 2009-12-10 17:37:31
ha thats mad fighting for a title at 61-62 + having to weight-in 59kg.does this happen often,i dont see the point.

Yep Sakkedao vs Saenchai was for a Lumpini title but back in April Sakkedao beat Anuwat for the 126 pound Raja title. Does he keep both or have to vacate the Raja title?
Hot Sizzle
Posted: 2009-12-10 21:43:41
@ mugger.

Now im not 100% but i think in this situation there are a few reasons.

1st, they make the fighters weigh in at different weights for gambling purposes and to make the fights closer.

2nd, whenever any Thai fights Saenchai, Saenchai has to give weight away to make it even.

3rd, Petchbunchoo holds the 130 pound title and they couldn't fight for that so i guess they went up a weight division and fought for the vacant 135 pound title.

Posted: 2009-12-11 04:17:14
he vacated the 126 raja title ages ago cos he couldnt make the weight he fights at 130-132 i think his last 4-5 fights

49:48 on all three score cards

From what I could understand from the commentators, they were saying that Sanchai has beautiful technique, and the problem was that Sakaetdao is just too big, and Sanchai is just too small.

good fight.
Quick question bout scoring though, do body kicks that are caught still score big?
if so, would Senchai have won that last round as he landed a fair few body kicks, whereas Saket seemed to be coming forward alot but only landing a couple of knees?
seemed like a well close fight, difficult to score or do i not have a clue what i'm looking at?
Dan Rigby

I wouldn't have wanted to score that fight!
Very good fight and seemed very even, pity we won't get a rematch!

Really like Saketdau's style!
