enrolled on bad company beginners course

I have four weeks till it starts so any tips on getting into a state where i have a chance of not dying in the first class? I bike 12 miles a day to work but should skipping or weights or something be a good way to help? Although i realise whatever i do it will be a shock to the system.

Cheers for any advice.

There's no reason why you can't come down before the course begins. The best nights for beginners are Wednesdays and Fridays. Beginners start all the time regardless of whether or not there's a specific course running. If you give it a go you'll find out if you need to work on strength, cardio or something else. Whatever state you're in it can't be worse than when I started (check my profile), and I just did my 2nd fight a couple of weeks ago and my fifth interclub a month before that.

Bit of running or skipping would be good, if you can skip for ten mins then your fitness should be fine to start the course and if its not don't worry as everyone there will be a similar level
