to be fair it should be Rob Storey (as he is no2) or Francis as he is the highest ranked fighter by UMKF (Lee, then Rob Storey then Francis) and current English Champion...next in line would be Jose (KO)

if not then the UKMF rankings are just a total waste of time.....

Firstly i resigned from all responsability to do with the UKMF in early November last year. Prior to that time I had reluctantly accepted responsability for over seeing the rankings and the legitimacy of title bouts. I have no idea who has taken these jobs on board now but must remind every one that the compilation of the rankings may be out of date and not up to current status. Fighters retire, are unable to fight for titles due to commitments and/or illness. And frankly sometimes a fighter isnt the holder of a curren license or does not represent a UKMF club. Rather than vilify the rankings and rubbish them. Check out the circumstances.....Then if you find your fears are founded....ubbish them ha ha!

I'll ask my doctor nex time I go though

Alex has a serious scarring on his brain caused by too many concussive blows over his fight career. Following tests at the beginning of this year he was cautiously cleared to fight. In fact the medical advice was not to fight again but that the sacarring was under arrest and Alex was a adult and free to make his own decisions. Alex demanded one last chance of me to bounce back from injury. However; during his fight with Ivan the symptoms he'd endured at the end of last year flared up again. The fight was stopped on safety grounds. I have retired Alex from all contests full stop. Against his wishes. There simply is not enough reward or benefit to be gained from this sport to risk health. I trust in time Alex will respect my decision.

Hope carl wins then he can re match jonno at 59k and I guarantee the result wil b the same.jonno is fting later in the year at 59 k,jonno fts frm 59/61k,the fact that carl and lee are fting 4 59k no 1 spot is grt carls waited a long time for his shot at lee and totally deserves it but its not because jonno can't make 59.goodluck to all concerned

I was really pleased with all from the gym, Nathan was ace and used his height and range to full effect and still only 20yrs of age there's still so much more that will come from him.

Pete lol I'm always butt clenching when he fights cos it's always a case of who's gonna go first he has some serious power in his hands but just wanted to war it out with Jaffar, just unlucky in that one.

Dan was class, just an 80kg version of me with some of the stuff he was doing and was in control and enjoying the fight the whole way through.

I'm a little gutted for Barry as I felt the paramedic was a little premature in his decision especially with how the fight was actually going it was warming up nicely but I guess he's just doing his job and looking out for the boxers safety and not taking any chanced.

Evan and TJ's fight was ace both are awesome and the standard in this country will go up another level when the likes of these get older and start competing as adults. I love Evans style a real pleasure to watch.

Well done Ryan on the show and thanks for having us on

Good show, well done ryan, as damien said, very pleased with the lads from K-Star, we are starting to get a good team of b Class fighters now. Starting to move them along with tougher fights and they all stepped up. So i was very pleased with them win or loose.
I have a great team of instructors, who are working very hard to help get our fighters to the top and it's starting to come together now.
Some good fights on the show, I didnt see them all so I look forward to getting the DVD.

thanks to ryan and evans team for giving tj the oppertunity to show off his skills and be part of an amazing fight between 2 of the countrys best youths. tj was a little tired from it being a very long day (he had been up since 3.45 to catch the plane)
but performed very well with his timing and movement.

thanks to ryan and his team for making us feel very welcome and looking after us really well, not just me and tj but also tjs mum, my mrs and son. which he never had to do but did so thanks again for that :)

TJ fought well used his height advantage and long legs to perfection, we wondered where evans was hiding all his 33kg until he took off his fight robe and seen his roberto carlosesque legs lol.
well done tj, you have done us all very proud :))
cheers keith (eclipse mt)

Some great fights! Well done to all K-star lads.

Highlights for me was Nathan Epps superb fight, using his height to his advantage with lethal knees and Dan Edwards quality, dominated from start to finish thoroughly enjoyed his fight.

Pete I always enjoy your fights so powerful, thought you may have done it when you knocked him down! Well done though mate and I'll look forward to future fights.

I have to say though the two young lads going for the British title what a very good fight, the technique and the discipline these two guys shown was amazing and I look forward to watching out for these two in future.

to clear it up we agreed (as one part of this) to fight at 64kg max weigh in, the other camp were happy also so thats what happened. now obviously when it comes to defending it the weight is 66.6kg max so its a different issue (unfortunately thats not us this time) - it was just a fight and both camps agreed a lighter weight than the maximum allowed.

was it as they would not make the title weight below that or it wasnt vacant and there is more money to be earned when people have to buy the titles if they win them so it was a good way of getting another title on?
