Lee Murray might be free in 2011
From Zeus of MiddleEasy.com

"According to my source, Lee Murray will be released from his Moroccan jail due to the actions of a forensics officer that worked on his case. Recently, this unnamed Kent officer was disciplined for disposing evidence in another case which forced police to inform Lee Murray's lawyers of the mishap. This will lead to a retrial which, what I'm told, will result in a 'very definite' chance that Lee Murray will be released from his prison in Morocco. It's also important to note that if a retrial is granted to any of the five men that were jailed in 2007, Lee Murray will be released.

I've also been told that the primary thing Lee Murray wants to do after being released is to return to his MMA career. Apparently Murray is in the same shape that he was in when he submitted Jorge Rivera with a triangle a few years ago. From what I've heard, competing in MMA is the only thing on Lee Murray's mind and he's even been offered to be featured on a main event in two separate MMA organizations pending his release. Lee Murray's anticipated release date is sometime at the end of 2011."

Won't see Murray back in the UFC. Not unless the plan on doing a show in Morocco!

Should he be released though? I am not particularly pro-police, but he committed a crime, shouldn't he do the time. And the only reason i take this stance is that the UK is a total f-----ng joke when it comes to sentencing, and now Morocco is letting people off. Brits are not fearing long sentencing so why not go out and commit crimes?

I agree that Murray was a top fighter, though surely he cannot be in the same fighting shape as he was.

well Farhad its because you can get life for defiending your property against a Burglar but you will only get a few years for battering up and old granny or a toddler. Police dont make the laws but they do uphold them, that is when they can be f***ing bothered to turn up .

It's because a lot of police let the whole team down with their attitudes. Obviously some police are ok, some are dicks, but my experience of dealing with them in past 13 years as a doorman is that a lot of them fall into the category of; not bothered; assume you are guilty; elitism... To be honest i try to have respect for everyone as individuals but unfortunately the ones i've dealings with were more of a hindrance than a help.
