Buying property in Thailand.
Ok thinking of taking the plunge with few family members but what are the pittfalls of buying and do you still need a Thai sponsor.
Would be great if anyone who has bought property in Thailand could give me a few pointers.
Thanks in advance people.

Are you married to a Thai ? If you are it will make things alot easier.

Im not too sure and may be wrong but if your not married to a thai native you cant ever own your property/land 100%

Myself and my wife were looking into buying an apartment over there but gave it up for a while when the poor exchange rate kicked in so we decided to wait.

yeh still need a sponsor to buy land as a farang in thailand but if you have a good solicitor he can draw up a contract totally in your favour ie:you have right to sell, you have right to pass on the property, only the title deeds will always be held in sponsors name, have you considered buying an apartment or condo as they are called here much easier basically leasehold for about 30 years with option to renew

many a farang married to a fit young thai bird and their wives dont know about it Lol

snakes dont bother me as much as spiders lol. I know they tend to be deadlier and more aggressive etc. but frankly, I just fucking hate spiders!

Love snakes and last year caught a 5ft poisonous viper year before caught some unknown to me snake trying its best to ram its snout into a big fat frog so caught that too then flung it into the grass before i let frog go into river.
Where were staying this year fair few snakes about even on ya balcony.
I go hunting them when we go into forests with my twin pronged stick.
Spiders are fine too.

Nah peetee its piss easy to catch a snake though just have to be careful pin them to the ground with a forked stick then get it nearer up their body so the head is pinned down then just grip it behind/around its head with ya thumb like ya milking them for venom watch those teeth though.
