R.I.P. SMOKIN' JOE FRAZIER. 1944-2011. 8th March 1971, Ali took a left hook from Frazier during the 15th in their Heavyweight Title Match which was billed "The Fight of The Century" at Madison Sq Gdns, NY. Frazier went on to win by Unanimous Decision.

A true warrior, a great fighter and real legend from the golden age of heavy weight boxing. Three amazing fights with Ali winning the first and pushing Ali to his limit in the other two. I remember all the fights really clearly but he third fight with Ali in Manilla really sticks in my mind, the corner pulled him out prior to the last round because he was really damaged and taking enormous punishment - he didn't want to stop and said he would have rather died than retired on his stool and really meant it. RIP Joe

I'm absolutely gutted, my all time hero he was the Man!

I'm so priveledged to have been able to meet him and share sine memorys, absolute legend and true gentleman, my thoughts go to his family, he was a living legend and will continue to be immortalised as a Legend!

Rest in peace "Smokin" Joe Frazier x

Fraziers attitude and work ethic are something every fighter should aspire to, I love the way he'd just keep rolling foward through whatever was thrown at him. after he was stopped in the 14th rnd against Ali in Manilla Eddie Futch said 'its over son but nobody will ever forget what you did here today'. 37 years later its still true

Really sad loss. I recently watched the third Ali fight again and had forgotten how brutal that fight was, you would never see a fight like that these days
