How did you know u were ready for ur first fight??

Yeh so when did you know? Did your trainer ask you if you wanted to fight? Did you ask your trainer? How long after you first started training did you have your first proper fight?

Thanks

Ideally your trainer should be the one to approach you, if you feel you are happy to fight then ask your trainer to find you a fight, he/she will either agree and find you one or tell you that you are not ready.

8 years ago I made my amateur debut in MMA after only a couple of months training, my first fight I got choked out and woke up on the floor about 45 seconds in to the first round. I wasnt ready to fight but thought I was. 6 months later I took my second fight and won.

Best speak to your trainer IMO.

I felt I was ready quite a while in advance of when I probably was, my coach asked if I wanted to fight on an upcoming event a while after I thought I'd been ready and I fought and won, if you trust your coach (you should hopefully) then when they think you're ready, you should be confident in their judgement

Try doing an inter club first as these bridge the gap between sparring in the gym and and actual fight.
