Oran Mor shows are great. Quality venue. Will Jordan Calder be fighting on this show? If not when will he be fighting again, he always puts on a show. Wish I'd seen his fight against Carl Copestake!

Tickets are in so any gyms/fighters/coaches needing tix allocation, let me know as soon as you can, it's a small venue, so capacity limited. (one of the reasons the atmosphere is stacked...)

Just over a fortnight to go. The fighters are getting down to their final prep. Some tickets still available so get them from your fighter of choice before they turn into grumpy weight cutters :-)

Delighted to confirm that the awesome Clanadonia are back to kick start the legendary Oran Mor atmosphere.

Cheers Dave, and everyone else for supporting the event so far..the growth of the sport has been phenomenal, with slight curveball of there being so many shows now that we've had to (like every other promotion) pull the stops out to rematch some of the inevitable pull outs. In Glasgow area alone there are 5 fight events on the same weekend, so I appreciate the input to keep Oran Mor a quality event for showcasing the best of Scottish muay thai.
I've always tried to have several 'neutral', ie non-griphouse fighters bouts, but due to availability of fighters we have only two so far.
The story so far then....
7 A class
3 B class
3 C class
including ISKA World title, ISKA Four Nations Defence, 2xSTBA Scottish Titles, 3Women's bouts, and a stomping Scots tribal pipe and drums band. Bosh.
Just under two weeks to go and every time the phone goes, i have a cardiac incident.
If anyone on the card is playing 5 asides before sep 2nd, i will burst your ball.

I'll get weights up once Ive finalised running order...The 85kg lads are from Higher Level -James Doolan's gym in Whitburn, West Lothian. James is a phenomenal mma coach and his fighters' stand up is exceptional- and Headhunters, Alex Sneddon's gym. Alex was one of the best uk IFMA fighters and also held the pro Scottish title, and is now concentrating on coaching at his bases in Falkirk and Edinburgh.
We are also joined by lads and lasses from SMTC, Highlanders(Cowdenbeath), Lumpini Crawley, Carlisle, Dumfries, Kirkintilloch, and Carnage (Grangemouth).
And of course, our world title challenger from OneChai, Stockholm, Sweden.

Under a week to go...last few bits and pieces...our visiting fighters will be relieved to know that half of the officials are from England :-)

Judging team: Maxine Philips, Jim Walton, Rab Burt.
Match referee: Darren Philips

Weigh-in day before 1 pm at the Griphouse, 10 Possil Road, Glasgow G4 9SY. There will be a neutral official at the weigh-in, if you want to see your opponent weigh-in, be there for 1pm.
(The Moody v Bozek fight is on day weigh-in, 10am).

Please bring ticket money to weigh-in so we can make sure you get your kickback.

I'll post the running order later, it is imperative that corners have their fighters ready before the previous bout has gone out, Oran mor is a mainly standing venue and we have to respect the crowd are on their feet for the show...No raffle, no interval (apart from comfort break for officials), and two doctors will be present to ensure swift transition in case of cuts etc.

The venue is well served with bars and toilets, and you can bring your drinks into the arena.

Coaches - any worries over weight etc at this stage, p.m me, would rather sort now than on saturday.
Thank you to all coaches, fighters, and gyms for helping make this card look awesome.

All tickets are out...anyone needing tix please get in touch after 1pm saturday when i will have a better idea of how many tix we get back from fighters. At the moment it's looking like a sell-out. Given that there are 5 fight events in Glasgow this weekend alone, I'd like to thank all the clubs and coaches for making this one happen, with such an exciting card.

Great show as usual. Real shame about Tommy having to pull out.. Jo Jo was simply amazing, the Swedish girl was no mug, but Jo Jo just kept getting stronger and showed some superb skills, esp in the clinch.

Totty junior was great, top marks to Rab for doing his best to get into the fight, and finishing strong. Adrian W was a demon and will be real threat to anyone at 67.

Griphouse as a great team of coaches and just keeps going from strength to strength

Hello World, you have a new champion....Krigsman turned up to fight, but Jo stayed ahead at every part of the bout, showing total domination by the fourth round, resulting in stoppage, the Swede unable to continue for the fifth. Knee and elbow masterclass from Calderwood, securing her no.1 position...if anyone wants to contest that statement please get in touch ;-)

Loads of highlights, personally fight of the night, I can't separate Totty v Burke and Jo's fight, although Burke mounted a great comeback in the 5th after taking a barrage of elbows and knees from Totty throughout. So, both fights I guess!

KO of the night had to be Ailsa's right high kick, perfect execution of gameplan and technique.

Massive thank you to a massive list of people who made this event happen - the Swedish team from OneChai Stockholm were great to deal with, any promoters out there take note. There were 5 fight shows in glasgow this weekend alone, so thank you everyone who came and made the event a sell-out yet again. The list is too big (especially our team), you know who you are, cheers!
