This is very interesting as 'K-1' have announced that they do not currently have any affiliations with any Amateur leagues?
This was on the official K-1 Global website:
----
HONG KONG, May 30th — The K-1 name is known worldwide as one of the premier sports and entertainment brands, as well as the innovators of the modern sport of Kickboxing. K-1 Global has forged many strong relationships since acquiring the rights to K-1 in 2012, but would like to make a formal statement in regards to the many amateur leagues across the world who use the K-1 name and logo to promote their leagues and fighters.
While K-1 has a great respect and understanding of just how important these amateur leagues are in developing future talent, K-1 currently has no affiliations with, nor does it endorse any amatuer league. There are many amateur leagues who use the K-1 name to promote their leagues, but they have no affiliation with K-1, nor the sufficient rights to use the K-1 name or logo. K-1 does not currently endorse, or have any plans to endorse, any amateur league. All amateur leagues bearing the K-1 name right now are unofficial and unaffiliated with K-1.
