I'm not an avid follower of Thai, but trying to learn more and more.

Just after people's opinions on which body is the biggest, most recognised, and/or prestigious, and why?

You opinions appreciated.

Oh, and if you prefer neither of those, please state which ones you do ie WPMF, etc.

Thanks
Marko

WMF are mainly amateur I think?
Wmc don't hear much of in the uk?
WBC ok on world level but not got any clout in the uk yet, but with big promotions such as smash on the case hopefully that will change
Wpmf no big shows or fighters in their corner
Iska were top in the uk but others are catching up as iska struggle to maintain
Just how I see it

In any case the organisations are made by which big shows and fighters support / hold them

Thank you, Marko. So domestically, in the UK, it's still quite open and no real body leading the way?

What about the world stage, which would you say has the most clout at pro world level?

I'd say WBC WMC are work leaders?
But even then.. Lumpini and ratchadamnern stadium titles are too of the tree?

With thai boxings home being Thailand and the big stadiums are the dream and goal of every thai boxer in the world then as it stands now I can't see a body holding weight over those stadium champion titles

Yeah i've been chatting to a few people about the Stadium champion. With Thai being generally quite small, do the stadiums also run Championship titles at the heavier weights, and i'm presuming they'd only be contested in those stadiums?

Good question. I don't know
I'd assume that a deal would need to be met with a farrang promoter to organise heavier weights to fight at lumpini but there is just too many negatives that I can see as to why they wouldn't go for it
It would be completely dominated by farrangs

I suppose they'd see it like we would see an oriental legue in our footbal premierships.

At Lumpinee and Rajadamnern, titles above 154 lbs are usually vacant. I remember looking at the list in Lumpinee in 2013 and anything above 140 was vacant at the time. That being said, there are more farangs fighting in new Lumpinee stadium now and current promoters are keen to make money from the Westerners training, fighting and visiting the stadiums to watch fights so I would say it is something top class young male fighters can aim for these days. It is an interesting transition period in Bangkok scene with new Lumpinee stadium, more Western interest/fighters and even talks of women fighting at the new Lumpinee stadium in the near future. I can think of a couple of Thai promoters who is aware of the opportunities. We will see how it pans out soon.

Are there any current Stadium ratings anywhere? Can't seem to find them.
