Malaiphet is a good fighter but don't underestimate his opponent.Eric " The Tiger" Castanos is an incredible fighter!
David Lucas
Posted: 2003-04-14 09:28:17
how is jognsanaan's opponent? does he have a chance?
Kedric "Wolf" Umaa
Posted: 2003-04-14 10:45:48
Eric Castanos has what it takes to take out Malaiphet. I say it will be a unanimous decision to Eric Castanos. (The only reason I won't say it's a knockout in the 4th is because I know that Thais have incredible chins.)
The Flame
Posted: 2003-04-14 15:01:26
Kedric

Have you seen any of Malaipet's fights??? I have seen a tape of Eric fighting allthough he has pretty good hands his is in for a very very tough fight with Malaipet!!! And your right about Thai's having a tough chin...in fact Malaipet's jaw look's like a pit bull...very pronounced jaw line...tough chin and even tougher shin bone...take care.

I got to go with kedric!I have seen Malaiphet fight and I feel the Tiger will come out on top.Eric by Decision, but it will be close because Eric is fighting on Malaiphet's home turf!!!!!!

Mark L.
Posted: 2003-04-14 18:56:26
David--Ruben Yanez-As far as I cn tell he is stepping up a level or two to fight Jongsanan. I have never seen him fight but this is based on knowlageable friends.

My money is firmly on Jongsanan.

But I could be wrong. This is a fight, right? :)

Guys-is there a size differance between Malaiphet and Castanos?

Also where is Malaiphet training and how past it is he? Also is he training half decently?
The Flame

Malaipet is 22 years old and has a lot of fight left in him...he is a trainer...fighter at Muay Thai Academy in North Hollywood. Not sure how big Eric is the fight is at 154...

LOL

If the money was right. It would have to be high though as I cannot physically train. To even try to make it a decent fight.

I don't mind getting shit kicked for good money either but I don't want to sport to look bad or for people disapointed of not see Jongsanan in some real action.

But if people want it I'd do it. 3-6mins work. I can handle that :P
DavidTheCripplerUmaa
Posted: 2003-04-15 20:20:10
Guys i think you guys will be surprised With EL tigre don't count him out he has 27 knockouts and no losses he has trained with some of the best and is a humble man but is one of the best trainers i have ever had the privilage to train with ......The Crippler
Mark L.
Posted: 2003-04-15 22:02:16
27KO's is alot. No losses doesn't nessasarily tell me he's good.

I have never seen either fighter fight. I'm just having fun.

Though from what has been said on here I'd bet on Malaipet-but I'mbiased too. :)

Tell Eric all the best. I hope its a great fight.

Eric did fight a Thai fighter, which he beat by decision in Europe.Like The Crippler said "don't count him out".He is no joke!!!!In a fight, on any given night anyone can win,but belive me Malaiphet will be in for a fight on the 27th!!!
kokidd
Posted: 2003-04-15 22:25:55
Eric's last fight was in Tulsa,Oklahoma. He has had fights in Spain,Chile,Japan,U.S.A.,France,Amsterdam,and some other places.

The thing is when Eric left Cuba He lived in Chile and Spain. He has only been living in the U.S. for about 2 years. When in Spain he was trained by 8-time Champion Jose Vicente Eguzquiza. He recently is being managed by his friend Richard.

Who has Malaiphet fought in the US? Was he the guy that beat Danny Steele on the Thailand vs. The World a couple of years ago?
The Flame
Posted: 2003-04-16 15:00:20
Doug

Malaipet has only one fight in the U.S.A. against Craig. That one was on very short notice two days before the fight. He had one in Mexico I can't remember the opponent, I have it writen down but its at the gym...

Flame
The Flame

Malaipet was matched up with Danny but Danny fought Santie or Sandy...I think Malaipet is even stronger and a lot younger than the guy Danny fought at the olympic.

Who is Jongsana's new opponent?
kokidd

Is Jonsana's fight for a title?
Mark L.
Posted: 2003-04-18 02:45:21
"Who is Jongsana's new opponent?"

"Is Jonsana's fight for a title?"

hhmmmm

I don't know if had to do with my joking earlier or not but a couple days ago the promoter e-mailed me and asked I get in touch.

Maybe he reads Ax and didn't realise it was so much of a joke. Maybe just fluke.

I e-mailed back but have not got a response yet.

Needless to say I wouldn't be fighting as it would be bad for MuayThai and the fans...unless of course everyone wants to see an ass whooping and the money is good. :) hehe
Doug
Posted: 2003-04-18 09:15:09
The one in Mexico was against Osorio if I`m not mistaken. The kid is from my town and has a absolutely clueless trainer that had no business putting his guy in there with the Thai. Hell, I even beat him up in the gym from time to time and I`m old and fat. I dont think I would last two minutes with your boy.

Were you at Vuts show? I must've missed you there!

did sryapi fight?
thongsai
Posted: 2003-04-28 16:24:15
Hi, this is Thongsai's fiance,

-Jongsanan beat the guys leg, the guy couldn't go anymore (I think he could of), and so the ref called it an unintentional illegal drop, do it was a draw, I think a bad call, the guy really stood no chance against Jongsanan! Also, JOngsanan is a great guy, we had lunch with him earlier, and he's very funny and nice.

-Ra'Karma was a very good fight, he fought a Lao(i think) kid from Toronto from Kru Sutures gym, The Kid had a lot of heart, his nose was bleeding from the 1st round and there was bllood everywhere the entire fight, but he still hung in there. Ra'Karma was too good for him though and he won by dec., Ra'Karma was very sportsman like and drew the crouwd in great, we got to meet him and he is a very nice guy!!!!!!!!

-Joy's fight was very good. They did a lot of trading, but in the end, Treston from Maurice smith's school won by dec. Joy did great though for not being in the ring for a while. Also, treston is really good - he fought rennie too.
Again, we had the chance to meet Joy and go to his house for dinner- extremely nice guy too!!!!

I'll write more in just a minute, Charity :)

Bryan

Yes I was at Vuts no fighter I just shot the picture's...

Jongsanan was just to experianced and to strong for Ruben Yanez the ref stoped the fight I think the second saying Jongsanan kicked Ruben in the knee and called it a draw....there no dought in anybody's mind Jongsanan should have been rewarded with ko victory...

Ryan Roy won split dec. over James Martinez very good fight I thought James won the early rounds with Ryan picking up the pace in round 4-5

Joy lost he needed more work in the later rounds...close fight until round 5.

Ra'Karma looked very good he has not fought for two years but his hands were to good land 4-5 upper cuts in a row...I think he won una. dec.
