He did have a tendancy to empty his classes quickly, infact for a few months, I was his only student!! Although he was harsh in his training methods, I learnt a great deal from him. Not just Ju-Jitsu techniques, but about dedication and commitment. His motto was " as long as 1 student turns up for training, then he was prepared to teach".

I think back to some of the things he used to make us do in training...and I'm amazed that I didn't break any bones! I was terrified of certain training methods but more petrified of him if I didn't do them! I used to close my eyes and hope for the best!!

My second instructor had more style, very graceful and smooth. I guess I got the best of both worlds. My teaching style is a combination from both of them!
