I hold a 5th degree blackbelt in Ju-Jitsu and am a WJJF Technical Officer and International FIMA Coach. I run over 40 clubs collectively known as Onna Ju-Jitsu. Onna translates as 'woman' in Japanese. As a mature BSc Health and Sports Studies graduate, I aim to support the Council's initiative of community cohesion and feel that martial arts should be made accessible to all regardless of status, age, fitness, gender, culture/religion or disability. I run specialised classes for women/girls only. Classes for the deaf and hearing impaired. Classes for the blind and visually impaired. Besides Ju-Jitsu, I love walking. I walked up Ben Nevis with friends and then Scafell Pike with my boyfriend Mark. In addition to the above I like to dabble with tv shows which is great fun and a fantastic way of making new friends. I've appeared on Deal or No Deal, 1v100 and Weakest Link.... I'm still deciding on what to go on next! (ps watch this space as you are in for a treat in 2012!!!)
