later on i was at a boxing gym and got chatting to a young boxer who was at the univeristy
he was basically saying what a bag of shite he thought the TKD club there was i.e. not nmuch of a contact sport ( bear in mind that this "boxer" doesnt really spar let alone compete anyway)and that they do mostly katas,..etc.

I asked him "why dont you try the KB club there?"
he said " ive heard its not a very good club, theyre all beginners and theyre taught by a small skinny asian kid"
i said "taught by a small skinny asian kid? tell me more"
he said " ive got a mate called phil whose been down there and sparred with them and roughed them all up"
i said " ginger phil?" he said NO, i said " ahh phil who plays Golf as a pro?"
he said No chance! not this guy
later on i asked around and it turns out that this "phil" guy turns out to be the guy who claims to be a "black belt in thai boxing"
