I know Gordie pretty well and that's the first I've heard of it.

There was a test against him prior to the max event last year in which we pulled him out. Gordon and his team were convinced that the test was done wrong in which he obtained another result from another lab. That test came back negative but unfortunately was to late for us to change the card again. So he is clear to fight and the Richard Stewart and Gordon Pye fight is officially on

Awesome, that's great it's all cleared up. That's one more fight I can't wait to see.

Paula Mataele will fight Darren Berry from Sydney

Just to clear things up as there have been people asking as to wether Chopper is fighting I can confirm that he will be. Choppers recent loss in the superleague was from a spinning back kick to the mid section which prevented him from breathing not to the head like most think.

We have just been given confirmation that One Sport news @6.30pm will broadcast live from the ASB Stadium which goes out to over 1 million people. The fight on at that time which is what they wanted in the background will be Richie Hardcore and Gordan Pye. Thanks Neil Waka

Just finished doing a preview story on this show for the next issue of IK - thanks Mike Angove for the NZ team preview.

I hope EVERYONE gets behind this promotion, it is the biggest K-1 show to hit the Southern Hemisphere and Dixon has pieced together a card nothing short of awesome. Every fight on here COULD BE A MAIN EVENT anywhere in the world.

Well, under three weeks to go before us Aussies come over to the Land of the Long White Cloud to kick some long overdue butt!!!

There are plenty of better heavy weight fighters in Australia than Darren Berry.

They needed some one with not as much experience who is White and 6' 6" so he fits the bill he is on the plane.. Goodluck to Darren for taking the fight..... sometimes it is not about the best but about the support....

Ronnie has had a virus for the past four weeks and came back to training too early and then got very sick again and needed to go back to the doctor fora raft of tests - on medical advice he has been advised not to fight / and in any case even if he came back to training tomorrow he would come in at only 20% fitness.

This is a great chance for Sio to put his name on the map as beating the man who knocked out Paul Slowinski at last years oceania.

I have just bought my airfare to go to nz from sydney. now i found out that suttie is out. this is crap. has he really injured himself of is this a way for propters to get bums on seat. a bit of a conspiracy i feel.

No Conspiracy black bouncer. Jason Suttie has torn his clf muscle twice. The first time during training and then a week later a second time trying to see if he could continue. Its unfortunate for Jason as both men were looking forward to this. I spoke to Peter on Friday and we now face the problem of matching Peter up with a worthy opponent. Any ideas people and I stress worthy not just someone who will give it a crack.

i guess those were harsh words. its just that everytime i go to a show to see a particular fighter , it gets cancelled. usually in oz. I think this really hit the can as it is in new zealand and an airfare just been paid. whereas in sydney it is not as costly. regardsles the whole 6 of us will still be going. hope it turns out to be a good show.

Jason was training his guts out for this fight and unfortunately got an injury, it happens sometimes, We are all disappointed and trying to match Peter up with another top flight opponent. Peter's father (RIP) is a Kiwi anyway, we just let you guys have him for a while (LOL) but we will look at a any CREDIBLE opponent in Oceania.

The remaining card is still impressive with top notch match ups. I doubt any other promotor is Oceania could have two top line fighters pull out at last minute and still proceed with a card of this quality.:

We did think of virtual commentary with mike commentating from in the ring during the fight haha. It has been considered but Mike definately is in no condition to take on Peter.
