Taro Akebono vs Bob Sapp

Aparently being trained by Francisco Filho and Ray Sefo, Taro Akebono, teh Hawaian Yokozuna will fight against Bob Sapp in the K-1 at the Tokyo Dome in K-1 rules. I hope he beat the crap out of Sapp!! Anyway he's bigger than Sapp, he's in fact one of those few people who can say Sapp's not that big...lol

Osu!!

ps: I hope they replace Abidi by some other fighter that deserves much more that place in the finals. Unfortunately fighters like Jerome LeBanner, E.Hoost, Mark Hunt are injured but still there's new blood fighter like Martin Holm, Carter Williams, Semmy Schilt and maybe some others...or they could give another chance to some veterans like Francisco Filho, Sam Greco or Michael Mcdonald.

There's also a french fighter named Cyril Diabate (who has beaten Rick Roufus two years ago) and has already a great record in Shidokan Karate, Thai boxing
and some MMA events. Anybody knows him ?

La la la la la la.....

I can't hear you...
la la la la....

I didn't read that...

I'll just live in denial that this match is happening.

Ignorance is bliss. :-)

Loooool!!

You can confirm this in the japanese k-1 website

www.k-1.co.jp

Well i guess Bob Sapp would rather be competing in Sumo and not K-1 don't you think so? Anyway Akebono is 40 killos heavier than Sapp and he´s 2.05cm. I hope he crushes Sapp.

Osu!

that guy cyril landed a a big jumping roundhouse on rick rufus!!!! that was awsome!!!!!! and the sapp vs. akebono...well...what can I say????? (hearing in the background: "come one come to the amazing and espectacular K-1 CIRCUS!!!!!! where we have the most amazing fighting elephants IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! they'll grow blisters in your eeeeeyes-a!!!!!!") hahahahahahaha!!! well...can't blame them...Botha was going to give Sapp a major beating!also...the sumo audience in japan is very hardocore! and they are going to put some aditional rating into the already big k-1 audience...so who know? maybe it's good?

Cyrille I believe is prepping for K-1 Italy. It'd be great if he posted here to kind of explain his side of things.

first, they should be really smart and schedule this fight for 3 rounds. we all remember the 5 rounds nortje and the other 150kg fatty bored us with.

next, akebono's trainers had better think outside the box. akebono will never be a typical kickboxer. he is a sumo wrestler who punches and knees. also, the opponent is bob sapp, not ernesto hoost, so blocking low kicks is not paramount to his training. akebono can win this easily or lose it easily, it all depends on how he is prepared.

i don't mind this sideshow stuff as long as it is a sideshow. in other words, i expect to see some good fights on the same card like mirko vs. sefo or bonjasky vs. williams.

Dont talk about that fight Felix! Jan Notje Vs Osipov is a fight I am trying to forget.

This fight between Bob Sapp Vs Taro is born to end with a D.Q. to one of the fighters. I can’t wait to see Taro kick Sapp in the balls, or to see the beast jump on Taro when he is down.

Go for it Kakuda, you got a new exiting job being judge in a WWF fight in a K-1 ring.

Rumble in the jungle, or the thriller in Manila part II ?

kakuta will surely be the ref. LOL. i can't wait to see that little bastard get stepped on. there is going to be close to 900lbs moving around that ring. that is dangerous for anyone. just look at the size of the ref compared to jan and orlov above.

Everyone is talking about sapp making all this money but the guy has been wearing same suit for last 12 months or longer OSU

a good suit will last 12 months, you know. besides he doesn't buy off the rack.

you what is really funny, akebono has been measured at 203cm and bob sapp claims to be 200cm. if that is really an inch difference in height, i've been lying to a lot of girls about the size of my thing.

Non of the two fighters have air to fight more than 2 rounds...

A good suit last long, I agree Felix. But what happens to Bob Sapps Nike air, he seems to have new shoes that fit to his pants and jacket. Good shoes should also last long:)

This fight is going to be the laugh of the year! We will be begging for Jan Notje and Orlov after this one.
