anyone know any info?i think the profile shown is out of date now as is julies on women kickboxing, everything i track down is in spanish and i am very uneducated in languages,k1 rules being thaiboxing with limited clinch
No elbows and no clinch at all now. Best of luck anyway.
Hey Nat - good to see youve got your own name now :-)
Go joolyk!
Howards offered Julie Elliott a match on the same show with Milja Heino

final) 29-28,29-28,29-28.
Its not for a title or anything but its a five rounder under thai rules - do you think we should take it?
knees and elbows to body, you can grab and knee but not pull round and throw, julie has improved massively on her clinchwork this year, but i think these rules will suit her long range techniques.
Again, from womenkickboxing.com:
Loly is ranked 4th, alongside some class names. Looks like a great match!

julie elliott is capable of beating anybody put in front of her,she has already done well against a world class fighter, its nice if she wins(and i hope she does),looking at her range of titles there doesnt appear to be any the other fighter can put on the line personally, but im a title grabbing bastard and not scared to admit it!!i guess its something you will have to sort with mr hughes.good luck to her if she takes it.
may the force be with yu julie, if i had half the success you have had, id be chuffed...
still tho i think i may of landed one jab at the interclub lol....
gud luck
Stephynee, will fight in kickboxing k1 rules with any one is 60,62kg.
bring her up to 63kg and youve got yourself a match.
Fins are well schooled saw Dale beat one few years back but they are tasty, not that i have eaten one.
Loly Munoz has a few more wins that we just added. one was a win wich had inadvetently been misrecorded as a loss .
thus she's more like 14-4.
I have an email into her now, to triple check.
Ms Munoz is mainly an oriental rules fighter-that means knees with limited clinching (usually broken apart after 5-7 seconds by the refs if he/she deems theres no real meaningful action) and of course, no elbows or knees to head.
In her first ever Muay Thai bout earlier this year, Loly "Sugar" Munoz went the distance with Germaine de Randamie. so this lady is enormously talented and she's for real.
She has never been stopped-even by Germaine. So Julie will have her hands full and will be a very worthy Champion indeed if she manages to defeat Loly Munoz-Garcia.
BTW: The WIKBA ratings for september are way past due and will be out monday evening. We have had a very difiicult time getting in touch with all our rankings advisors, who are in a number of different countries spread over Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. That many reps giving advoce and nominations takes time and effort to get together and then reach some kind of consensus.
We have just (finally ) found someone who has just recently agreed to be our Thailand advisor-but she is very busy at the moment, so Thai
women may once again be somewhat under represented in our september ratings coming out monday. But we are happy to know that trend will finally change as we start ascertaining proper passport names for all Thai women who fight.
each time we update the ratings the ratings become more accurate as we gain more fight results worldwide, and receive new data on fighters some who already ranked-and also new fighters sending in profiles from countries where we have historically not had a represntative, or contact person.
Thai fighters sadly, still pose a huge ranking dilemna because of the ubiqitous use of ring names in Thailand. WIKBA will not rank anyone unless we have a full passport name. (real first and last name)
I hope the WBC will be equally responsible when they begin their womens rankings next year. Its easy to be publicly embarrassed if you rank the same person twice under different names-whether they are using ring names or married vs Maiden names, etc. Its essential to an orgs credibility to have a positive ID, anda passport name on all ranked fighters.
(this kind of embarrassing fiasco happened to another org, who didnt follow our policy of positive identification. (wont name any names here)
WIKBA believes that to not insist on positive identification befoe ranking a fighter is irresonsible; and also enables abuse and fight record fraud. That is slowly changing, but the practice still prevents many extremely talented Thai women from gaining the world wide recognition we believe they deserve.

==You are quite correct about Munoz' boxing experience! I neglected to mention that...Munoz is multi-talented, and versatile, tall, athletic, very agile, and possesses excellent defensive skills as well as a strong KO punch. Julie will have to be at 100%, and make no mistakes whatsoever to win this fight.
On paper, Julie would be the underdog, but she has won how many in a row now? In any event, Julie Kitchen is clearly on a roll...so something has to give .
Wish I could be there personally. Instead, our WIKBA UK Rep, Howard Hughes, will be there. Luck stiff gets to attend all the best fights...
julie must be one of most active fighters in uk right? she doing very well good luck
okay dan,youre scaring me now!!!lol

==Thats ok, Nathan, you dont have to fight her! haha
Good luke julie, sure youl do well. vicki& dan
The fins are very vewry well schooled with limited clubs and total WMC control. No multi sanctioning!!! Sean and I had a team over in 2000 and they put on the best performances we had seen to that date. Backgrounding from Riku Immonen, Johmod, and the Mustonen brothers. Very strict tidy thai style and good in the clinch with great balance. expect a good fighter from a strong amateur background before pro
anyone out there got the loly v iron lady fight on dvd?i would love to watch this fight.thanks for your support for julie everyone it goes a long way,i know she is the underdog, but her training is going well, and she will give it her all as always.
any predictions for this sunday??
the spanish are very confident and loly is an extremely fit fighter with a knockout punch,i have to say that julie is at the highest standard i have ever seen her,she has trained so hard for this fight and wants it bad.we have been unable to track down any recent footage of her opponent but you have all seen what julie can do,any opinions?
For me julie is one of the best female "all rounders" that i have seen, she has every technique at her disposal. I think both the girls have similar records so I wouldnt say Julie was the underdog, Loly is ranked number 3 and Julie number 4 in the WIKBA world ranking so I suspect this will be a very even fight. Though I think Julie will take it, good luck julie, I know you can do it
Rach
thanks rach, that means loads coming from a future world champ, julie x
Racheal is absolutely right!
Julie is extremely well rounded and versatile. A complete fighter. I just watched her last fight on Sid Remmer's dvd.
btw, Sid has tons of great videos available
see www.fightvid.co.uk
Check it out,you will be impressed with Julie's athleticism. Actually
the entire show was one good fight after another...two full disks of great womens fights.
as for Julie's opponent, Loly Munoz-Garcia, she too is extremely
athletic and verstaile. Her only losses have been under FC rules-except for her close loss on points to Germaine de Randamie in Holland.
btw that was Ms Munoz's first MT fight ever, and she went the distance with the Iron lady.
Munoz prefers Oriental (k-1 style) rules, which is what this fight will be fought under for the WIKBA World Oriental rules (K-1 style) Title.
so once again Julie Kitchen is fighting one of the very best in the business, (Loly Munoz)under Ms Munoz's favorite rules-
some may recall that Julie beat Natalie Bee under FC rules-and FC rules are Natalie's game-which she is very good at...I really didnt think she was going to beat Natalie Bee under FC rules, But I leaned from that one that you cant
ever safely bet against Julie Kitchen.
I have no clue who is going to take this Title. Its 5x3 and there must be a winner. if there's a draw after five rds, they fight a tie breaker round.
Something has to give.
The lady who wants it most will find a way to take it from the other.
I bet it comes down to the last minute of the final rd when
somebody digs really deep.
Thanks To Howard Hughes for making this fight possible.
I hope people will come out and support him
dan
chicken oriental rules, go julie do the business
I think Julie will win this one on points. She is very fit and very determined.
Good Luck.
Nicky x

Many, (if not most) fight fans like K-1 rules.
Why the negativity? the ladies are excited
about this fight as are the fans.
Why not come out and support them?

Julie won on points it was a great fight which she controlled from start to finnish but full credit to the girl she fought was really tough took a few shots which would have put most girls down and kept on pushing. well done julie
awesome display by julie, loly was very tough and pushed forward throughout the fight but julie just controlled it from start to finish dropping her in the last round with a knee to the head, her boxing was so sharp and she landed 5or6 strong teeps to the face,i would personally like to thank howard and karen for their constant support and dan cuich for giving julie the chance to prove herself against a world class competitor.happy days
Brillant, well done Julie.
Well done Julie, not seen you fight live but from all reports seems like a very deteremined and deserving champion. Congratulations.
Nathan send my congratulations to the
new world champion.

to create a monster. :)
Have you been fitted for a good head gear? :)
dan
Congrats Julie and Nathan.
Fantastic news
Dave
thankyou everyone for all your support & back up! this was a big fight for me the first time i had fought 3 min rounds plus knees to the head, i feel both of these was to my advantage, i dropped lola in the 5th round with a knee to the head, she is a tough girl as she jumped straight back up from the knock even though i saw her lights go out!i feel that all the support has helped me prove i am not just british level but world level, thankyou to all the promotors who have have given me the chance over the last couple of years to fight on their show & work my way up, i have enjoyed every minute of it! see you at the york hall 19th nov juliex

I'll do it!
ballkick you have email.
by looking at the pics, the amount of shots lola took was incredible, this girl had not a mark on her at the aftershow party but you could hear the shots land above the crowd, she was a tough cookie.i can see how she went the distance with the iron lady apparently giving away 3-4kg as well.

The pictures in question:
