Tickets: £25.00

VIP Tables: £350.00 - Sold out
Vip Tables: £500.00 - Sold out

5 and a bit weeks to go. VIP tables sold out several weeks ago. Sorry to those who missed out. Talk to me now about the March event to secure your table.

The long awaited Orchard V Zuccala rematch is the obvious highlight. We spoke with Fran at the Dale Wood V Brian Aston fight and he already looks in very good shape. Orchard is hanging around at just above his fighting weight as well. There is a lot at stake.

Jeff Lawson continues to rip up the MMA scene with a contest against the "In Form" Sami Berik. That should provide fireworks.

Natalie Bee continues her journey upwards with a European title shot at 60kg against Grette Halle(Norway).

And yes, the bitch is back. Mo Kargbo couldn't stay away. Following a retirement speech that was amost as long as his 12 round world title fight he managed to stay away for less than a year. He's still in good shape and his polish opponent is not a stiff. So lets see what he has left.

John Orchard & Nick Gill sparred and awesome 12 rounds together last weekend in preparation for both of their fights.
Pity anyone fighting either:)

Would like to get Nick Gill on in Bournemouth next year (if that's not too much trouble Mr Spencer):)

Not long to go now (4 weeks). Not even worth talking about tickets, that usually means they are slow in selling, which they are most certainly not.

A good evening anticipated for all.

Is there a rematch for John Orchard planned for Brian Brosnan? Heard Brian just won the WAKO european championships in Portugal.
THE BULLDOG
Posted: 2007-11-16 06:14:11
There is an open offer for the rematch over 10 or 12 rounds.

I have initially offered it for March 2008 but Brosnans camp are realistic and have said at this stage the boy is not ready for that distance against someone like John. They know their man better than me and I respect that decision.
My offer is open indefinately and I would be happy to stage it or give it away to an Irish promotion also.

I for one would love to see that happen! Got my first glimpse of Brosnan on DVD vs Jason Vasello recently that kid is pure class. Makes fighting look as natural as walking or breathing! And only 17 on the video i saw. Its scary! could he still do Samir Mohammads weight?

Thanks for the response guys. It seems that quite a lot are making their way down so please let me know what is happenning.
The event will be sold out but I have made allowences for about 100 spectators coming from outside the area to pay on the door. However I will need a clus as to numbers from all of you. Please give me a call 01202 294223 at the office.
Jenny will take details If I am not available.
Don't worry, I won't hold anyone to numbers, I just need an idea so that
a) we don't go over capacity and b)we don't turn anyone away who has travelled.

Don't leave it until the day cos you know that promoters are up to their ass in it by then:)

Thanks again!

For all of you, wherever you may be. The Hatton fight will be shown at The Litten Tree Pub. thats opposite my shop and almost next door to my gym. If you are staying in the Eastcliff or Lansdowne area, you are within walking distance.
I have told security to expect bad dressers and gobshites from the midlands and not to turn them away because they are wearing Gola trainers of Leicester City tops:)
It's just the way it is boys. We'll always need factory workers from the north to service our estates:) I'm on your side (although I wouldnt go so far as to vote labour, and after ten years you lot have just found out why:)

mark, what does LMAO mean?

where are you staying jag?

& why is this thread so quiet, this is going to be the fc fight of the year with a great line up. Jeff lawson had me on my feet with the last time i saw him fight & i am really not a mma fan & young daniel from bulldogs gym is an exciting young prospect, really looking forward to him fighting k1 rules... nice to see mo back, never seen him fight before & i'm expecting a tear up between natalie & greta.

with regards to john & fran - think fran will be a bigger force this time round, & definitly has the equaliser punch capability, but will he be able to catch john, we will see.. i cannot wait!

I can't wait till sunday this is a wicked line up! (Just hope I can make it out of the changing rooms to catch it all)

Dawn is right, Jeff is always entertaining! Can't wait to see him back in again! As is Trevor Soko he is Mr Versatile having fought under all rules now including a win on his debut MMA match in september. Thai this time brings him back to my favourite rules to see him fight under! Go Sokonator!

Daniel is definately a hot prospect and it will be good to see him low kicking and kneeing again after a successful year of kickboxing.

Natalie and Grette is also gonna be a cracker! Grette is tall, mobile and accurate, Natalie super fit and strong and both very technical fighters. This is a great match, having fought Grette and sparred with Natalie I think this is a perfect match which is gonna make an explosive 10 rounds! Very Exciting, Good Luck to both girls.

And John & Fran, well I hope this turns out to be as exciting as the last match which was probably one of the most exciting FC fights I have ever seen! I'm sure Fran is well up for redemption so it will be an exciting 12 rounds. I'm also wondering wether the Johns Fans will be as vocal this time as we were in Birmingham 2 years ago.....that was VERY noisy! LOL!

All in all this is a fantastic end to the year! Good Luck to all the fighters!

Seriously for a moment......

When these two fought last time it was billed as THE suprfight of the decade. And it lived up to the hype. It was the first of it's ilk for many a year.

Is it a measue of how far full cotact has come in the last 2 years that we no longer wish for superfights, they happen regularly now, hence this being treated as virtually just another fight on here with nothing approaching the hype of the last on.

Make no mistake, this once again could be the fight of the year!

Excellent show as always at the littledown.

Stand outs for me were John Orchard back to top form...Jeff Lawson in the MMA bout, very quick!....young daniel as always, just 16 now and I can see a very scary middleweight in a couple of years!...and just overall the presentation of the show was top notch.

Nice to see loads of people from the sport there. Dawn and H, jag, Neil Kelly, Barinder, Trevor and a very drunk Nick Gill amongst others.

for me daniel was the fighter of the night, great young prospect there... great show again carl, something to aspire too. i know you achieve a good crowd, (& a very large crowd!) but even you have to admit, dispite the gola's, it was better for having us lot there... come on admit it, you are a secret northern admirer...

mark made a very constructive critisism - all you need now is the lincoln lot to organise the after party & your sorted!!!

mark & jag are definitly gay, you went to bed early!

congrats to john & natalie & all the other fighters who won, thanks to all the fighters for a good night.

markgibbs
Posted: 2007-12-10 17:27:32
Thats true Dawn (not the gay bit, mind you, i cant speak for Jag!!)

I have been to 3 shows that truly impress me. Pain and glory, billy Murrays WKN xmas box, and this is up there with the very best of them. Attention to detail was superb!

BUT> you need big dave, Lee Swaby and Shawn Burton to organise the after show party!!

I went to bed at 3.30am, everytime I bump into Trevor Ambrose I end up talking for ever.

H and Dawn never went to bed at all, in fact never even saw the hotel. lol

Saturday night in Bournmouth was wicked, loads of midlands out in gola trainers having fun!

I will say this to all promotors. Go and have a look and take notes. The way they look after you was great. I have judged shows were they do not even give you a bottle of water, so to be given good food and regular drinks was brill.

Posted: 2007-12-11 07:26:43
Thanks for the comments and keeping the thread going guys. I have been in bed for nearly two days with a huge hangover - so you can take yer Big Dave / Lincoln crew after party and stick it up yer ass. I could'nt even get through this one:)

Thanks to each and every one who supported. I had 9 fighters on and a show to run so I didnt see a lot of you but I could hear you.
Orchard / Zuccala was a classic contest in my opinion. Fran tweaked his gameplan from the first fight, and so did we so it made it a slightly different but no less entertaining spectacle.

Jeff Lawson did the business in double quick time and Natalie Bee looked very strong over the ten round duration. I didnt see the whole fight but am looking forward to the DVD.
Daniel Winstanley was good, I agree. I was very happy with his performance.

I thought the home audience was a little bit flat which is unusual but I don't think they enjoyed the event any less. Also as always I hade tow ork on the assumption that there would be stoppages but aside from the MMA there were none. This made the show finish a little late.
Still, I'm just being picky.

Controversy? Trevor Soko beating Paul Douglas. I did'nt think so and said so at the time even though Trevor is my fighter. However, having questioned the judges, referee and various other trusted people it seems that it was not that controversial in their eyes. May be we see things differently from the corner sometimes. Trevor recieved a toe in the eye in the first round and had limited vision. I even considered pulling him out as his performance was obviously affected. However, he rallied and this was the outcome.

Thanks again to everyone. I was, by the way, reasonably impressed with the dress sense of the midlands contingent. Not a pair of Gola's to be seen:)

And Fran - it was a pleasure doing business as it was with all of you. In fact the only ass aches came from local people (but thats ok soz I know where to find them to discuss it);)

Will try and accomodate a few superfights next year and have a few ideas.

Best wishes to all.

When I finally retire from kickboxing, my lasting memory will be of Jag hawking his bucket around as many shows as he can get to saying:

Colin Payne
Posted: 2007-12-11 10:28:38
Hi Dave,

yes, Mo's fight was very close. Decided in the end by the count he took halfway thru the fight. The 10-8 round was enough to swing it the way of the polish fighter. Still only a split decision though.

Hope all's well, no doubt its warmer there than here!

Bottom line - John wants Dale Wood and the ISKA belt. The ball is in their court as I know that Dale may have other plans right now. He will rest until may be June whilst negotiations continue.
There are a couple of Americans that I would happily bring over. Jens Lintow and Ramin Abtin from Germany. Perry Ubeda - the fight that has been on and off on a few occasions. It may be too late for that now. Brian Brosnan over 12 rounds possibly, when the lad is ready. There are plenty of options I think.
Mick Crossland
Posted: 2007-12-13 05:35:55
Good stuff. Hope some of those come off for you and John.

Is Ramin Abtin the Wako Pro 79kg Champion who Brian Aston fought recently?
Snail
Posted: 2007-12-13 16:41:24
Ramin Abtin is the current 79kg WKA Champion , and yes he beat Brain in i think August.

Carl ;.. dont put the ball in my court mate im shit at racket sports lol .. Seriously though there has been talk of a challenge from Ireland . Mark Ellwood has been thrown into the mix as he holds the 78kg British title, there has been talk of the trilogy with Brian Aston and of course theres John Orchard. I have also emailed Mladen Steko in Germany expressing my possible interest in Ramin Abtin and his WKA title. I also have alot of possiblities away from fighting to consider so i will be taking Christmas and the new year to chill out and relax and hopefully hit 2008 with a clear plan of action. But i do want to clarify that the title is the ISKA Super Middleweight Title which is a 78kg max title. So i believe if a defence is on the cards it should be defended at that weight, hence Mark Ellwood being thrown into the mix and my interest in Ramin Abtins 79kg WKA title.

I appreciate all the interest from every corner and will keep everybody posted in the new year .... cheers !

Thanks for inviting us down to the show Carl, well run as usual. Your comments regarding Paul Douglas v Trevor Soko are honourable and much appreciated. I must admit we were stunned by the decision as we did not think it was even close. Anyway that is the way it goes sometimes. It's just a shame it appears on Paul's record as a loss as I don't think he deserves that.
Hope we can see you at the next one.

Sounds like some great fights Carl, I heard on your next show you are going to have fighters in wheelie bins having a go at each other, with rolling pins.
You had better ok this first with Mr, Sir, Royal Eminence, Right Honourable, Soke, Professor, Kancho, BA, BO, Fxxk Pig.

LOL at the pearly king. He's given my concept away for the next event.
Paul. Thanks for the comments. It seems controversy follows these two. Their first fight was announced the wrong way round if I remember and now this.
It's good that we can see things for what they are rather than screaming foul play. It's no ones fault here, just opinions and the only way to sort it is for both of us to work on developing their punch, so that when the rubber match comes about it will be more conclusive:)

Thanks again for taking the time to comment. You will always be welcome at the events and I will do my best for you.
