Thank you for your kind comments, it's been a long time planning, and I'd like to think we've got the line up bang on.
As for tickets, we should have them available from sometime next week.
Daz.......Your show looks ace too, and you know that we're right behind you...bring on the trumpets!!!
Paddy Jumo.........If you email me, I'm actually in Ireland as we speak, and I'm sure that we can arrange something for you and your pillagers!! lol
Robin....How are you matey? Will be great to see you and the gang again.
Luke......It's not the french guy you are thinking about, it's a different one....but there's that many it's an easy assumption. Good Luck with your fight at Bad Company show in Leeds.
Would like to say a huge thanks to those that have helped bring all of this together, you know who you are.
Fantastic to have Pete from event photography and his team on board.
Awesome to have Mel and his team from P4TV involved also.
Will hopefully see you all there, and should you need any further information, then please don't hesitate to contact either myself, Lee Green or Ronnie Green.
some good fights there....Paulo and Ocana part 3 will be war, good luck paulo...fenwick and sayok will be carnage, nice different styles with taylor fighting veera chey and said Youb is in big trouble against dale white...good luck everyone involved.
anyway to more important matters...Ill have 20quid on robinson, 20 on paulo and 20 on john dennis....oh and is that Rit KRSgym
sounds like another great show, starting to become the level now 5x3's all the way through thats what I would call a "supershow" good luck mark.
Looking forward to watching dale white fight.
iank1981 - yes Matt Sheedy did get caught by a lovely left hook by Lee Green in the 1st rd of their fight in January 09.
Both fought again at the WMF World Amateur Championships in Bangkok March 2009 witch Lee won on points, however it was a far different fight than the first fight. They are friends now but may meet in the ring again somewhere in the future, it depends on what path both choose to go.
Lee Green is an underestimated and underrated fighter here in the UK, he hasnt been on the pro shows toO much and isnt in the UK independent Rankings because he has chosen the Amateuer circuit to gain valauable experience.
He is fighting pro v Liam Robinson and it will be an interesting fight and definately one of the highlights of this show.
FYI Reece's fight is B class which is a bit of a shame, but he's a very talented individual, and there's time for him yet, especially with him being so young. One of the best prospects that we have in the British Isles, and he has many years ahead of him. It's so hard to get matches for individuals such as Reece, and there are many others too.
We should get behind the future of our sport, especially when they pit their wits against foreign opposition, and this is a fantastic opportunity for Reece to show everybody what we all know he can do.
Yes Lee did fight Matt a couple of months ago, and i'm sure that both lads are keen to show everybody what they're all about.
I honestly feel that every fight on this show could go either way, and hope that it portrays that to the general public. Sure, there'll be opinions on who'll come out on top, but I just hope that everyone that attends has a good night, and we all leave with smiles on our faces.
Will be great to se Mick 'Iron Man' Pazowski fighting again, saw him in December v John Dennis What a tough man he is, the shots were just bouncing off him like he was made of granite.
We have already got a commentator for the show, my friend. We have enlisted the services of none other than Vinny Shoreman to do the commentary, but many thanks for the offer

P4TV are filming the event, and yes it is the Riley Twins, and thanks for the support. As for the co-commentary, that place has already been filled by the one and only, Rick Barnhill, but once again, thanks for the offer.
Whats the seating arrangment please anyone? I see there is a balcony, if its first come first served on the seats does that mean if you're late you'll probs be on the balcony stood behind Big Show + friends??!!
The balcony that you see, looks over the downstairs bar, which will be used as the changing area, so there will be no balcony seats as such. £30 will get you a standard seat. There will be a total of 40 tables, which will be starting @ £50 and will include waitress service and 3 course meal, each table seats 10 people. Ringside tickets will be £100 and will include waitress service and 3 course meal, and again, the tables seat 10 people.
Any further information required, please do not hesitate to contact myself, Lee or Ronnie.
Good work lee and nice to see you on saturday at our show.
This will be a great tribute to your father - A legend he may be but he is a gentleman also. its nice to see a community supporting its elder statesmen so to speak - even though he still looks 40 if that!!
The photo with Ronnie is a definate my friend, and if you want to turn up in a blue shirt with Tevez on the back.....it better be United's away kit!! lol. and it would be nice for you to come and see what a trophy looks like :-p
Ian,
If you can use the gym number, or Lee's mobile number, which are on the poster it might be cheaper.....i'm over in Ireland at the moment!! but there is no problem picking the tickets up, so hopefully see you there.
Best of Luck with the Show lads looks like a great event

hi guys, realy excited about fighting on this show. ive been training realy hard for the past 6 weeks for another fight but it didnt go ahead so its all been leeding up to this one. thanks for the hunor of fighting on this show!
Mr Vinny, why don't you phone Mr Ronnie Green, rather than posting on here? I thought you was a communications NLP Guru? Whats wrong, can't you use all your senses? lol.
For the record, Vinny is helping us, and certainly not being negative, everybody knows what he thinks of Ronnie and Lee. So could you try and keep this thread in the positive light it was started in. If your post was intended to be humourous, then please accept my apologies, but I felt that I had to clarify Vinny's role and intention.
Also if anyone still requires a table or a table ticket you need to reserve them now before they are sold ouy and let me know asap as if you have any special food requirements i.e vegetarian I have to let Manchester Uniteds catering team know in advance.

I have not been avoiding you all, but have been working extremely hard to try and salvage this show.
I received an email from Lee's wife, telling me that Lee was pulling out of the show, and it is something that i have thought long and hard about. I am not in a position to continue with this project on my own, and don't feel it's appropriate for me to do so, especially with it being a tribute to Ronnie, and have told Lee this.
I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused to anybody, and extremely embarrassed and annoyed at the situation. There simply is not enough time to pull this out of the fire on my own, with so much to do and so little time to do it.
I'm away in Ireland, which has not been ideal, but I thought that things were going ok until a couple of weeks ago.
We have had several pull outs already, and with Lee now doing the same, I guess I will have to carry the can for this failure. The only way that this show could be saved is with some major help, which has not been forthcomming. If there was anything that could be done, believe me, i would be glad to be still going through with everything. However, with no money coming into the show, and no indication of advanced ticket sales, I would personally have to carry the financial burden, which is extremely large. That is something that as an individual, is too bigger risk to put me and my family through.
I accept that this will cause a great deal of upset and anger, and for that i'm truly sorry.
Mark I am so sorry to hear of your problems, and although P4tv is not in a position to offer any hard cash to help you. P4tv would be willing to offer their services for free if others are prepared to do the same and help you out of this situation so late in the day. Mel & Paul
Yes it's for real Chris, as I confirmed to you via email. The same email that Graeme has posted. I sent it to everyone connected with the show..
It is regrettable, but as i said in my email, I extend my apologies to one and all.
Hi Jonno,
I appreciate your comments about all the training that all have done, and I am truly sorry. As for why Lee pulled out, or anybody else for that matter, i'm sure the decisions were not taken lightly.
Thank you for all the emails of support, and sorry for letting you all down, it is no excuse, and all the negative comments are deserving.
I was saying unlucky to you too mark mate,
Tis a real shame when things like this happen but they do ,
I agree with Welsh Eagle ,
people should pull too and try and help mark salvage,
Respects to Matt for saying he'd fight for no purse.
I guess Joey will say the same guys, he is happy just to fight Graeme Ness.
Again i would pay for our Travel and accomodation from my Club funds so a big saving already.
Lets get this show happening. Ronnie was an inspiration to me when i started in 1984 and he is a friend of my trainer Peter Stewart from back in the day at Master Toddys.
I know about the loss from shows and the gamble taken as do a few others on here but i also know that there are people out there who would do the same.
maybe all the UK fighters give up their purses and any profit made og towards Help for Heores, Kick for Cancer and any other charity.
I am sure the publicity in the National Press alone with us all working together for such causes and to salvage this great show would do us all good in the long run.
Dont know whos to blame, dont really care, pointing the finger at 1 or the other wont make it better and i am sure each party has reasons for their actions.
Shit happens with shows.
But it can be salvaged with the right people working together and with no real finacial loss to anyone..............................
In the present climate, peoples circumstances have changed dramatically, so I would not lay the blame at any one person's door. It's happened, and if there is a way forward, that is where this should head.
Thank you also Vinny, I'll call you tomorrow if that's ok, and i'd like to point out that Lee is also a top bloke, and a great friend. We started this together, and we'll shoulder the flak together.
sorry to hear this and gutted for all the fighters who have trained their arses off, think there s a couple of shows on around that date so hopefully some of the matches can get rearanged for these shows, fair play to mark for coming on here to explain the reasons and for saying he would carry the can for it, obviously this isnt just one guys fault, sure everyone realises that.
This is a terrible shame,I feel really sorry for the guys, I have had to cancel shows in the past and it's not an easy thing to do.
dave Copestake still wants to fight matt Sheedy, we could put it on my show on 27th Sept if you want Lee.
Robin i think that u mean Luke would fight Matt on 4th July, is that right?
chin up bro..We'll sort something for Joe...a stick of rock and a trip to sea?? do you reckon that'll cover it...lol. No seriously bro you know were we are if you need any help.xx
yes, sorry steve mate. i am not aware of who has pulled out, or what fights are still going on. i just offered luke as some help if matts fight was not going ahead.if dave was still up for the fight with matt on the 4th(assuming it still goes ahead) then i will withdraw my offer, dont want to muscle in, just trying to help.:)
Mark, please don't think I posted that email you sent me and others on here in an attempt as a "shot" at you, that certainly wasn't the intention. It was just that a few others that are obviously involved in the show had not yet received notification about the cancellation.
No, Mark can't take all the blame.
Welsh Eagle, I don't know if James, my trainer, is having a show this year, but if he is then we can maybe get the fight arranged for then?? I will see him tonight about that possibility. Failing that, maybe any other promotion can put the fight on??
In the meantime, it's roasty toasty here, and we don't get alot of that up here so it's BBQ time for a few days HaHa
Wow wow wow firstly I'd just like to say I am in complete and utter shock as to what I am reading / hearing and to be told by my dad at 12 o’clock last night after I had just finished training (training for the fight may I add) that apparently he had been told I have pulled out the show without me being aware of that fact was complete news to me.
As you said Lee when I spoke to you and John Jarvis yesterday I was in the same position as you both not being able to get hold of Mark and still under the impression the show was going ahead. Truth be known I was actually out leafleting and collecting money for tickets at the time so why would I be doing that if I had pulled out?????
I have not come here for a slanging match with anyone and as I said to you last night Mark I extremely annoyed and disappointed with how you have dealt with this matter and can't believe you have told everyone that I have pulled out of the show when I quite clearly I hadn’t without discussing it with me first. I was completely unaware that my wife had emailed you expressing her concerns about my health, sleepless nights and stress in relation to the show with you being in Ireland but not for one minute did she say I had pulled out.
I am not falling out with you over this but I can’t believe that your email to everyone makes out that I had pulled out leaving you to carry the can which is a complete lie. Especially at the fact that you had not even spoken to me about it before telling everyone YOUR decision to cancel the show not MINE which is completely unprofessional.
I am not saying you have but on my part it feels like you have used this an opportunity or excuse to save face over the fact that your major sponsor pulled out of the show and the fact that you have been that busy with work commitments and in your own words “a little naive” to realise the seriousness of how much involvement on your part the show actually needed. I am not discrediting your input but I have more or less single headedly been carrying the can for this show which has completely taken over my life, work, well, everything at a major financial loss to myself personally and a major inconvenience to my wife my business partner and to myself for that matter, for a show that I originally got involved in for both my dad and yourself to help take the sport forward, to then be kicked in nuts like this is more than disappointing my friend. Not to forget the fact that I am fighting on the show also.
Whether you realise it or not you have made me out to be the bad guy in this and to make matters worse after me speaking to you last night I went home and gave my wife a grilling at 2:00am for something that clearly was not said. Yes she expressed her concerns to you about me not FIGHTING with all the stress for your opinion in confidence, but did not say I was pulling out of the SHOW.
I won’t lie in admitting that my head hasn’t been on the 100% on my fight as you well know, how could it be with all that is going on and I have not shied away from telling people that when asked, but why else would I train till daft o’clock at night (which my dad will also vouch for) and be giving out flyers and collecting ticket money only yesterday if I had allegedly pulled out????
I apologise to everyone who has had to endure this but I can assure you that I am just as stunned and shell shocked as you all to hear and read what has been said by Mark if not more so. The truth of the matter is I know Mark doesn’t want to let down or upset anyone due circumstances out of his control with his work commitments and being let down by people financially that has not allowed him to put maximum input into the show, but unfortunately Mark I feel that on this occasion that most important person, being me, you have let down in a big way.
Do you not realise that I have to continue work with these people who have been let down by you??? Who will want to work with me now???
I wouldn’t mind if it were true, bottom line is I feel you have panicked through stress and people letting you down and used my wife’s voice for concern as an excuse to lay blame and cancel the show. I have worked my ass off on this show working till all hours, training, selling tickets and marketing in the local area to be painted in a bad light by yourself. Can I ask what is it you have actually done and how many tickets or tables have you actually sold to try and salvage the show as you say??? The answer being none. I’m the only person that has actually sold tables, sold tickets and bared major expense out of anyone to then have this thrown back in my face is well and truly out of order. You have acted very unprofessionally in taking the responsibility on yourself to cancel the show without discussing it with me first regardless of what my wife emailed you (which wasn’t as you say) and made me out to be a let down to everyone which is completely unfair, unacceptable and untrue.
As far as I’m concerned the show is / was still going ahead I’m just not sure how its all going to pull together at this moment in time based on a few set backs. So if anyone has any suggestions, all help and support is needed to try and salvage this show.
If anyone wishes to contact me with ideas, suggestions or update feel free on 07776 137 389 or email ronniegreentribute@hotmail.co.uk. I will keep everyone posted asap and apologies for the inconvenience to all concerned. I hope between us all we can find away to pull this off. I appreciate those who have posted kindly and contacted me to voice there opinions already. Once again apologise to all.
I also publicly apologise to my wife who has read this thread and is in as much shock as myself, for waking you up at 2:00am, jumping to conclusions and flying off the handle at you as I did, for something that has been misinterpreted or misused.
A massive, massive apology from me. I owe you big time xx
Iam sure with most the top fellas in this brill sport of ours based in the north west, that this show can still go ahead prob not at O.T BUT smaller cheaper venue,,,
Come on fellas help Ronnie an Lee out on this one..
ta
Pete
John Jarvis...
Is the show on then??
Whats is state of play??
Are Thais or French still coming??
Are you going to try and keep the domestic bouts on??
Lee I will ring you bit later today..
Mark why havnt you phoned me mate...?? nearly 2 weeks been trying to get hold of you, you must of known something was wrong then!!
These things do happen, but been handled very unprofessionally.
All my lads have trained very hard for this show and sure every other fighter on the card had too..
I will do my best to salvage what I can in relation to this show as my neck is on the line financially. I am still awaitng to hear back from Mark so to save time etc can all instructors send me details of agreements and fight purses and expenses etc as agreed with Mark and all fighters who are still available for the show so I can work out financially how to fix this mess.
Some instructors have already emailed me previously trying to get hold of Mark in relation to fighters pulling out through injury etc so if you could email me asap I will do the best I can to solve the problem.
I have already come up with a few ideas to help pull this off so the more prompt the response the better.
Email your details or suggestions for that matter to ronniegreentribute@hotmail.co.uk
If anyone is trying to contact me on my mobile, due to all the calls I have had off people my battery has died. I should be back on in the next 20 mins or so as I am awiting my charger to be dropped off at work.
Thanks everyone for your response and understanding it is appreciated, after all, I only got involved in this in the beginning out love and respect for my dad and to help him promote Golden Belt etc. I feel like I have been let down massively by a number of parties, and I appreciate everyone who is bending over backwards to help keep this event alive.
A massive thanks to all who are offering helping.
You can still email at ronniegreentribute@hotmail.co.uk
Hi all if possible it would be appreciated if all instructors / fighters could email me exactly how mant tickets they have sold for the event.
i.e Adult Tickets @ £30 and Child Tickets @ £20.
And if they have sold or request any table tickets for the show.
I have a possible solution that may be in everyones interest but could do with everyones prompt response concerning this matter as quickly as possible.
On my next show, if its not looking too good, would fighters mind not taking a purse, and film companys do it for free??
Regardless of the situation here, the promoter has fucked up and should take it on the chin like the rest of us do.
Most promoters have all lost on shows, as have I! It is part of the job and the risk you take! I really can not believe that people are feeling so sorry for them, and want to help out! Maybe if the ticket sales for Legends, or Capital Punishment, or Crawley arent going to well, we should all help them out!!
Its a shame when a promoter loses money, but that is the job! I have lost 5k on a show before, but I didnt get film crews offering their services for free! I know this may sound harsh, but it really has made me mad that everyone is acting in this way!
I do feel sorry for all the fighters as they have trained hard, but none of them should fight for free because the promoter hasnt done his job properly!
Jesse, I agree whole heartedly with what you are saying about helping out and offering our services for free, obviously I thought about what I was doing and do not want to set a precedent here. But Master Ronnie Green along with Vinny was one of the first people I contacted when starting P4tv and he deserves my thanks and respect. End Of
i back lee here. i dont think its his fault that this has happened. i know Lee personally as a friend and mentor, and i know that he would definately not 'bottle' this fight. i am sure he's been up all hours training his ass off for this fight. he is a very committed fighter and with the added prestige of doing this for his dad master Ronnie i am sure it was a mix up rather than him pulling out. Lee is an honourable and decent guy doing his upmost for our sport and its not fair his good name being slandered at all. we should all be getting behind people like lee as he will bring our sport forward. youve got my support if u need any help and i will be there cheering for u should the show go ahead now.
Hi Steve thanks for your call earlier I have spoke to Lee Powers and Matt Sheedy is also still up for the fight so if both parties are happy thats one fight still confirmed obviously circumstances permitting.
Lee, i have table booked and tickets sold, would defo pay £10 per head more to help. If all did that £10,000 if 1k crowd. Should help with purses ect. For Ronnie lets do it. Good luck. Mike Tobin.
Hi Mike thanks for your suggestion but I wouldnt expect anyone to do that.
One idea I have had depending on what fights remain on the show or any additions/replacements to the line up at such short notice is to perhaps drop table ticket price to £30 per person which will include the 3 course meal and those who have already paid £50 will be refund the £20.
Obviously this depends on what fights go ahead in relation to fight purses and thanks to those who have offered to waiver the purses again much appreciated.
This night was supposed to be a tribute to my dad so even if the fight card is reduced or slightly changed, a 3 course meal at man utd a few bouts and dinner dance at Man Utd is great value for money £30 isnt it??
And anyone who knows my dad knows he likes a good dance!!!
So what makes a tribute show different to a normal show then?? Does it mean that all the proceeds go to Ronnie? Or a charity of his choice? Does the promoter work for free?
Not sure if this show is still on, but I did tell all our people that it was off when I got the email, so if it is still on, I will need to know ASAP to let everyone know again.
I hope it can be sorted.
The show go,s on! Just got of the phone to Lee,first time i,ve ever spoke with him and i,ve got to admit he is doing one hell of a job peiceing this show back together well done mate.Myself and alot of others including Lee have,nt been able to get hold of Mark for some time now and Lee has only been in the driving seat of this show for the last 48 hours and its looking like he is going to get the show back on track well done to Lee,just shows how important Ronnie is to Lee. See you all at old trafford for a good old knees up!!!! chok dee.
fair play for sorting this show out and getting it on for your old man. can u just let me know if u think ull be fighting or not so i know what im doing either way even if its a no would like to know asap thanks.
I'm still at the gym sorting things out and I've not slept for 2 days.
There will be a maximum of 8 fights which was the original plan and the after party will be mega in the Manchester Suite. Like a Christmas ball without the Christmas tree and the cold weather :o)
Good luck, and I promise i will answer back once the show's gone on.
Think it's more important that the show continues, rather than get involved in discussions about who's spoke to me or not
For the record, i hope Lee pulls this off.
I am in Ireland and my number is 00353 851 351 891.
Those that know me, are aware of the situation, and that's good enough for me. If I say my piece now, I will only be accused of spoiling, so good luck.....Lee and Ronnie deserve this tribute
"For the record, I hope Lee pulls this off". Mark thanks its appreciated buddy truly it means a lot.
You too are a top bloke, and a great friend (I missed that bit that you wrote so I apologise) and I understand your reasons for your actions in view of you caring and your concern towards me although I do wish you had spoken to me first before making that decision on both our parts.
As I said when I spoke to you earlier, honestly it felt to me like you did what you did to save face making it out like I had dropped you in it. So I apologise if you feel hard done by, by what I said and I know now and realise that wasn't the case.
Like you said "we started this together, and we'll shoulder the flak together.
Both Mark and I are not all to blame for the pressure forced upon us to act the way both of us have done in messing innocent parties around in putting this tribute show together. Those of you, who have done what you have or haven't done, know who you are.
Mark I would love it for you to be at the event please to finish what we set out to do (well sort of) but understand if you cant.
Apologies to you my friend I know it was because you care.

I'd just like to say a big thankyou to Pete at Event Photography and Mel at P4tv for your help and everyone else who has stood and supported me on trying to make this Tribute Night a success and a 50th Birthday Party to remember.
I appreciate your patience and understanding and am working my balls off to make this event a success.
The show will be compared by famous comic to the stars Charlie Hale.
"Hale makes impression "THE STAGE"(Theatrical Newspaper). Charlie Hale had the full measure of his audience and soon had them eating out of his hand.
In addition to being a good gag teller he's got a fair old line in impressions, Nelson Mandela, Chris Eubank, David Beckham, Mike Tyson and that was barely half of it. The audience loved him! Not only was he funny but also he was clean."
At the Grand Hotel in Scarborough organised by Sky Television Charlie performed at a boxing dinner. Charlie stormed the night with his boxing impressions and very topical gags.
After performing for over an hour he thoroughly deserved his standing ovation. (Boxing promoter Frank Maloney)
"A Cavalcade of Comics "THE STAGE" working his act from a large Punch & Judy type screen on stage, this talented and very imaginative entertainer brings a new and hilarious comedy idea in presentation. Following a good line in patter, he continued with tremendously funny send up impressions.
In particular his superb send up of Chris Eubank, equalled only by Chris himself! Charlie's sheer brilliance has lead to various TV shows including his own ½ hour show on Sky One.
Some of the names Charlie has worked with on TV are Beverly Knight, Shola Alma, Roland Gift (Fine Young Cannibals), Heather Small (M People), Mica Paris, Grace Jones, Robbie Williams on Hanger 17.
Charlie's act has already taken the corporate world by storm and coupled with his own sporting background (he is an ex pro footballer) he has proved a huge success on the After Dinner market. Charlie's flexibility allows him to entertain any type of audience.

This night just gets better and better. Look forward to seeing you all there.
