The show will be compared by famous comic to the stars Charlie Hale.
In addition to being a good gag teller he's got a fair old line in impressions, Nelson Mandela, Chris Eubank, David Beckham, Mike Tyson and that was barely half of it. The audience loved him! Not only was he funny but also he was clean."
Some of the names Charlie has worked with on TV are Beverly Knight, Shola Alma, Roland Gift (Fine Young Cannibals), Heather Small (M People), Mica Paris, Grace Jones, Robbie Williams on Hanger 17.
Charlie's act has already taken the corporate world by storm and coupled with his own sporting background (he is an ex pro footballer) he has proved a huge success on the After Dinner market. Charlie's flexibility allows him to entertain any type of audience.

British born Thai boxer, Ronnie Green was recognized as one of the top European fighters of his time, having competed throughout the world in both Kick boxing and Thai Boxing. He had fought against many formidable Thai fighters from Thailand, where he was noted as being a great tactician. He had a tremendous roundhouse kick where he had been able to kick faster than his opponent could often punch, giving him the name 'Machine Gun'. Ronnie became a five time Muay Thai Champion.

just a quick line to say a BIG WELL DONE to Lee Green for pulling this show off. i know that he's had a nightmare with this , but respect to you lee you persevered and put on a cracking night.
it was an honour to be involved with this show for the legend ronnie green. thanks for involving me with this lee.
if i wore a hat id take it off to you :) lol
Great win for Joey Brincat over Graeme Ness and a great win for Matt Sheedy over Dave Copestake.
Both guys have been training hard and it paid off.
Matt is finding his self confidence now and hitting harder and getting stronger as each month goes on.
Joey has fought many times at 58-59kg and some fights at 60+ just to get matches but his performance last night at 55kg showed us both that he should stay at 55kg.
Congratulations to all involved in the running of this show.
Great fights, great venue, some good laughs in the changing rooms, all in all a long but good day.
alot of people seem to differ between tko and ko.... or fighter retirement... a ko is when the ref counts to ten.... very rare as usually it will be stopped before the ten count and result as a tko.
Yes Marc, you are correct you didn't lose on a KO but a TKO due to injury. As Wainey correctly points out a fighter is awarded a TKO victory when their opponent is:
Outclassed
Cannot continue after end of the round break
Is injured
Is Counted the third time in one round
Is Counted the fifth time in the fight
Falls out of the ring and can’t return before the count of twenty
Fighter withdraws from contest
A KO is when a boxer is knocked down and cannot continue the fight for the count of ten
i don't understand. so if a fighter gets knocked out it will only be classed as a ko if the ref counts to ten, but as wainey says " very rare as usually it will be stopped before the ten count and result as a tko"
surely if a fighter has been knocked out cold then it must be classed as a ko, regardless of whether or not the count gets to ten?
and i thought the scoring system in muay thai was confusing!!
A number of the things some people seem to find confusing are actually not peculiar to Muay Thai. This particular rule (as are a number of others) is the same as international boxing. While some boxing bodies use the term TCO rather than TKO the same rule applies if the referee feels a fighter is in need of medical attention before they have reached the count of 10 it is not recorded as a KO. For example the BBBC have this rule but call it a TCO.
"BBBC rule 3.33.3
A Referee shall have the power to interrupt the count where he considers that a fallen Boxer is in need of urgent medical attention and in such cases the opponent shall be declared the winner by a technical count out (T.C.O.)"
KO would be possibly better described as count out (CO) rather than knock out (KO) as although it may sometimes involve unconsiousness it isn't directly related to it and can be the result of a number of other causes where a fighter can't beat the 10 count.
am sure lee will answer your question zebedee, but from what i could see he was organizing the show and running around to make sure everything was running good and that, so i think that would of made it difficult for him to have a fight,,,,,,, is like you organizing your show the weigh in and all them things and then having a fight not the thing to do ;-)

How come Lee Green didnt fight Liam Robinson then?
jesse
I spoke to lee's family on the night, and apart from not training he had not had any sleep for about 2 weeks, prob close to a breakdown if truth is known..i think alot of people were glad just to see him in for a demo..

Lovely to see Joey, Matt and Lee again.
Cracking fight Joey, very strong at that weight.
Dont forget youre coming for dinner at Toms house this week...
Between 9 to 5 Ha Ha..
Hey everyone just a quick thankyou to everyone who stuck by me with this show, thanks to all the fighters and coaches a big thanks to Mel & Pete and the team at P4TV, Pete & Lauren at Event Photography, my lads at Team Active, Mark & Dan with their eventphotgraphy, Charlie Hale the compare, Tony Myers & the officials.
I am trying to catch up on sleep at the minute and work out away to reap my major major financial loss. The show was huge succes as an event, everything run like clockwork and everyone made comment of how much it was a great day just unfortunately the damage had already been done prior which had a mjor affect on numbers attending and left a massive shortfall, which reduced my mum to tears at the end of the night when i didnt have enough money to pay everyone.
I'm sorrry if i did'nt get round to saying hi to anyone but I was running round organising everything on the day and get pulled from pillar to post. So much so I ended missing the whole night including the party as I didnt finish sorting out till 12:45sm and leaving the venue till 2:00am.
Thanks for your kind words Luke appreciated buddy.
Pete thanks for that also I think I died 5 times last week.
I made an announcement on the day apologising to all and stating that if it was'nt for the care and love for my wife who has also suffered through all this I would of fought on the day and anyone who knows me and saw how fired up on the day I was knows that too.
Glad the tribute went well in respect of and event for everyone, although an expensive piss up on my behalf!!! Now I've just got to work out how I'm going to pay off the massive debt incured through no fault of my own.
Thanks everyone and I will be fighting soon watch this space!!!
Lee I would like to raise some money in conjunction with K4C and the lovely guys and girls from Ax.
I am sure i can get some great prizes together to raise some money to say a thankyou to your dad for inspiring me back in the early days...Ronnie v Sombat was one of my favourite fights i ever saw live.
I hope you can find a way to recoup the financial loss Lee.
It was clear you really wanted a special night for your dad who you obviously have great love as well as great respect for. It was good to see Ronnie enjoying himself and different generations joining in the celebrations. There was some good food and some excellent performances on the night including some slick put downs (verbal) of an intoxicated but well meaning heckler by Charlie Hale.
A shame about the attendance but I guess that was expected given the changes to the card and the uncertainty surrounding the event. I am pleased it came off for Ronnie who is genuinely a really warm character who loves the sport and has contributed significantly and continues to do so.
Cheers Tony appreciated and thanks for your support.
Also a massive thanks to Daz Morris star man bud much appreciated and once again to fight shop for providing the gloves for the event at such short notice.
Fights from Ronnie Greens tribute Night now on www.p4tv.com ~ FightTV ~ Muaythai Channel, Lee I will send Speeches and Additional footage to you tomorrow for you to put on www.ronniegreentv.com next week Mel
