Hi Nigel, I got your recent e mail so hopefully all my guys matched. I'm sure I put it in my reply but if not Lance Jones won't be able to fight as he has had an operation for a slipped disc and is awaiting physio to assess the extent of the damage ( it impacted on his spinal coloumn and he lost feeling in his lower body ), so needless to say short of a trip to Lourdes he won't be fighting in Feb!! Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi Matt, I got your message about Lance, send my regards to him. Will contact you shortly coz have matched your other fighters but still more coming in

Nigel howlett
Thanks for having us on Nigel.
Shame that Tom and to pull out the day before, but thanks for getting Depesh a replacement. Result was a draw which i disagree with.
Also really pleased with my lad Scott having his first figfht and getting a good win.
Thanks again mate.
what are the full results please?
thanks for a good day yesterday nigel think me and ranj finished the day off nicely! If our first fight was good, this one was better! Regardless of the result i enjoyed it! Bigger venue next time i think, good turn out!
As for dean bright v depesh desai. I think the draw was fair jesse, taking into account how iska seem to score heavily on boxing ive found! Dean out boxed dep, and dep in return tenderised deans left leg! lol swings and roundabouts....a good fight none the less!
how did ray deburgh get on?
Ross, Was a good fight, and dont want to get in to much of an argument on it, but it was muay thai fight, and i felt, as did most people there, that Depesh was the stronger fighter in the last 3 rounds, also, Dean didnt really land any punches, they were all on Depeshs gloves, and then Depesh would land a clean kick or teep. Also was annoyed, as were you guys, that the referee wouldnt let them clinch!
I looked at the score cards afterwards, and this was the result!
Dean/Depesh
Judge A
10-10
10-9
10-10
10-10
10-10
Judge B
10-10
10-9
10-10
9-10
10-10
judge C
10-10
10-10
10-10
9-10
9-10
Very incosistant judging. I think that Judge C had it about right, I may have even had round 3 10-9 to Depesh.
I know Im being a touch biased, but I just dont understand why we still seem to accept that its ok for the ISKA to have a different scoring criteria to everyone else.
Also, I may be mistaken, but it looked like 2 of the judges were sitting next to each other!
As said, was a great fight, and felt it was probably the best technical fight there.
Unlucky on your fight Ross (loved the spinning elbow! haha)
totally respect your opinion jesse. I didnt see the card myself. But yeah, think we all see it a little differently when we watch our own! haha i seemed to get more clinch time in my fight than they did in their fight but hard to tell when your in there??
We are quite new to the iska and are still trying to grasp the way they score things to the other organisations so i know what you mean.
Cheers mate, it was a cracker! Both of them! haha bit naughty considering they changed the rules to no elbows but i prefer full rules and sometimes you forget yourself in the moment! ranj was alright about it though.
A great big Thabk you to all who supported my show, Matt came all the way from Portsmouth with one fighter which a really appreciate, Sandyman from sunny Bolton, and all the local gyms for their efforts.
Ross George lost a narrow decision to Ranjit Dheer, Depesh Desai fought really hard against the 6' 5' Dean Bright. Everyone gave their all.
I am now already looking to a date in May for the next one,
Total respect to all
Nigel
your welcome Nigel and thanks for having me cheers and hope i did you and ALL the fighters and teams / trainers proud !
Jesse
ref: your post re: scoring
and that fight, it was close and well worthy of a re-match to sort the outcome as both fighters gave a good account ! and How the Hell does dean bright make that weight at 84 foot 6" ? wow mad !
And gotta say your 55kilos lad scott? was one of the best fighters of the night and that was his second fight? wow wow what a good prospect !
Nigel photos ? please get unique to post a few on here nice-1
and chris podesta
raydeburgh didnt fight he had a small injury to his shoulder and also wouldnt give the weight away ( weight disparity )
lastly Nigel you / they / we Need a Bigger boat" lol
