This is a brief outline of what is to be expected at the up and coming 1st SportAccord Combat Games in Beijing, China September 2010.

The criteria for the Muaythai participants are currently being drawn up for this event. It is my understanding that gold medallists from the IFMA World Championships 2009, will be given the opportunity to compete at the 1st SportAccord Combat Games.

It is my hope that at least one English Team member will be successful enough at the IFMA World Championships to accompany me to this prestigious and monumental event.

just a question, why do the mens weights go all the way up to 91kgs and the womens end at 63.5...there must be other women in the world training and competing at 70kg plus?

Real Shame for my Girls Anna( lost a very close fight for the gold at the world) . and Amanda who just beat the Gold meadlist. they stood a very good chance of medal. The wieght Categories were moved/cancelled. Greg is also experienced at the amateur "Game" and also experienced all three have done really well at the europeans and world .

Good luck to Dixie and Craig. I would love to be there.

Now with only a few days left before the kick-off of a massive martial arts gala, organizers of the Sportaccord Combat Games 2010 Beijing say they are ready to rumble and expecting a tournament to remember.

The opening ceremony August 28th in the National Indoor Stadium, which will be witnessed by thousands and involve athletes from more than 100 countries. The opening has been described as a feature for the various martial arts displays and include singers and performers from Asia and beyond.
