Gladiators Show Results 23rd May 2004

Dunno the full results as i was in the changing rooms most of the time with my team but Leicester Kickboxing Did great last night

Wanna shout out to Tasha, Frenchie and Graham who fought Awesome fights.

Tasha Wilson bt Danielle ?? on pts
Frenchie stopped Shaun Preece with a body shot
Grahame smith was domination his oponent but got cought by a punch and lost the fight by KO (Hey shit happens)

But the biggest shout out goes to Barinder Singh!!

Barinder accepted the midlands WAKO Pro area title fight at very very short notice and was giving away almost 4 kg in weight. He stopped Dale Morris of Gladiators Gym in the end of the second round.

Barinder looked like a very mature and professional fighter last night. Dale fought with alot of heart but Barinder kept his cool!

Who did Craig Edwards beat for his British title?

Now Barinder stopped Dale in the 2nd no real surprise there but i thought hed stop dale later like in ro8und 4 or 5

Now that surpriuses me!!! how many fights has frenchie had??? im sure hes not supposed to be on shuans level even? but obviously he is coz he stopped him!!! now thats a massive shock

I heard that shaun was more experienced but frenchie who has only just started fighting htis year so hasn't had much fights did it, he is a strong guy with heart but to be honest the fight could have gone either way as shaun preece was working hard too

Curtis didn't fight in the end which was a shame :(
I think his oponent weighed in too heavy or something

His stable mate Jason Scott (I think) Beat his oponent though i thought the fight was very very close and was surprised with the result

i checked with the ISKA rep and there was NO ISKA british title sanctioned at the weekend, there was an ISKA english title under FC rules but not the ISKA british.

I may be able to clear a couple of points up as I worked on this show for Gladiators at Tranmere Rovers. Looks like I meet a few of the ax'ers there but didnt know names at the time. The thai title fights were for ISKA amateur titles which may explain this confusion. Their format is less and shorter rounds than pro rules. Must have met Fads when getting your fighters out, I was the baldie with the clipboard.

This is mearly an outside observation but looking back at the above argument it all started when Liar's typed- "So who did Craig beat to win his "british title"?" it looks to me be a simple question concerning the details of the Gladiators show , which is the topic of the thread after all , obviously Frahad you read more into this , sit back relax and put ya soap box away , ....... yet another thread turning into a petty pointless argument , its getting boring now mate !!

Even so racist or not it would still annoy me if someone kept spelling my name wrong for no reason. Back to what seems to have triggered the argument off who did Craig Edwards fight to win his title? Who cares in the kickboxing and muay thai world titles seem to be a bit of a joke a bit like arseholes every man and his dog has one. Its getting as bad as boxing with all its alphabet bodies. Still as long as Craig is happy with his title who gaves a f@ck all you can ask is that fighters put on good entertaining fights and make the fans happy as long as that happens who cares.

I'm champion of my bedroom shadowing boxing super heavyweight title as awarded by the BFMTO (Baz Faulty Muay Thai Organisation) and I'm very very happy with it I made the belt myself out of a bit of tinsel left from xmas.

I've always found Farhad to be quite reasonable this argument on here seems to have gotten a bit out of hand I think Liar's Nemesis's comment comes across a bit strange it could be a reasonable question or it could be criticism thats the thing with the internet its so hard to tell when people are writing things.

Anyway top marks to JD for hanging about with such honeys his chat up lines must be better than mine.

Hey its a good belt I deserve it after last night sparred with my coach for the first time in ages last night he must have taught I've been getting too cocky he took me to school what a muay thai lesson I'm very sore I really need to get the hang of this blocking low kicks and kicking back lark.

Farhad, they are strong accusations you make. I would be more than happy for any of the AX team to retrieve any comments you would like to bring to their attention and have them printed on AX or e-mailed to anyone on here who would like to see them.

Craig is also fighting on Master As show, worth going just for the massaman curry!!!
