Yeah it was the one that JWP won!
I tuned in to late to see the whole show but I saw the final, and that was great to see. I think he's performing much better in this thaistyle than in Superleague or K-1 max. But still happy to see him in europe now and than.

Wow, they showed the S-1 on Euro sport, that's so cool. I was happy it was shown on Thailand TV but to be shown in Europe can only help my profile that side of the world because I don't get much of a chance to fight over there.
I hope the people that seen it enjoyed it, it was one of my greatest achievements in the sport of Muay Thai. Winning a Million baht was pretty cool too.

JWP

That was the first time I've seen you fighting and I was EXTREMELY impressed. You deserved every bit of the reward!

It didn't appear as if the illegal elbows in the first bout even phased you! How much recovery did you get between matches?

It was a fantastic show, and I'll watch it again. The fight with Skarbowski was probably my favorite!!!!

Will they show more muay thai before Superleague 23. october '04.?Also I think broadcasting a King's birthday fights and similar events on a regular basis will be a great strategy for Eurosport in the future!Anyway congratulations for wonderfull job by fighters and Eurosport.Awesome!

Thanks everyone, I went to Thailand three weeks before the show to get some old tricks back and get my fitness right up after my lose to Amrani. We weren't really told the rules until I was just about to walk out so I know it was a honest mistake on Mohammeds part, ended up with four stitches from his elbows but in big fights you dont have time to worry about it.

Thanks Dirk for your post, I am glade Peter enjoyed it and get to his respect as a Thai fighter, means a lot.

Cheers me Neither ?
Whats it Advertised as?
Why dont they Put Thai-Boxing ?
Then Everyone one in the World Would have a Idea?
I Dislike the terms
K-1
S-1
Superleague
On T.V. Guides and Suchlike !
Why ??
Coz What the *** does that mean to Anyone ?
Unless your in the Know ?
All should be Known as (Pref: )
Thai-Boxing or Thai-Kick-Boxing then Followed by any of the 3 Names
K-1
S-1
Superleague

IMO

I met Nuengtrakan in the final, this was over 5x3 with elbows. This was the 4th time we fought each other, first time was International stadium on ITV, next was Lumpinee Stadium live on channel 5, we then met in the first fight in a super 8 in France and this time at Rajadumdern stadium live on channel 3. We always have an entertaining fight.

JWP,

I watched this on Eurosport and thought you were brilliant, I have seen you fight live before against Amrani in Rotterdam and IMO you were a different class in the S1, not sure if you had an off night in Holland but Amrani is always a tough opponent.
But I just wanted to say thanks for entertaining me throughout the Eurosport show. You could really see the frustration in Nuengtrakan's face during your bout. He didn't seem to have an answer, he looked tired an I am sure you were aswell but you didn't show him that you were.

Full respect and I hope we can see more of you and all of the best fighters on our TV's.

I have sent Eurosport a mail thanking them for the show and demanding more.

Hi Sandy
I read a broadcasting article about Will vanders and from what I remember he said Eurosport lanched "Fightclub" as a magazine programme to cover all the martial sports Like K-1, S-1, superleague, and MMA. He said it was a marketing tool for attracting more "non practioners" of the various sports involved as viewers/spectators.
He said during commentary that there were many top faces from World Muay Thai Ali Jacko and Sandy Holt. He made some other references all complimentary.
