I'm really looking forward to this show! There's a great atmosphere in Cleland club! Can't wait to see the line up:)
I have to (grudgingly) agree with Loo, it's a cracking venue. Great atmosphere and the booze is mega cheap. Although does this contradict Stevie's cheap booze thread in the off topic forum? Lol.

Stevie said no bother...just put the check in the post!
That was just a joke! lol
Or,... You can make cheques out to Louise McLaughlin:)
how sad is it that someone works on a nightclub door all night, gets in at 4 in the morning then goes on ax, beging for a cheque lol.
:(
Hey!...At least I'm not begging for a fight!
Loo, I never knew you were back busking at the doors of nightclubs again.

I'm jealous!!!!:(
Oh and good luck to the promoters!
I'm not jealous:)
Weigh ins were tonight at the gym! how did they go Stevie boy?
Chris Shaw wont lose. He doesnt know how to.
Have to agree with you there Rab, Chris Shaw won't lose this fight.
Best of luck to all the Caleodonian fighters today :)
Kaz
YIPPEE!!!
Just found out one of my mates has a ticket for me
Grant v Shaw, I think either could win it. I knee clash and a couple of clever throws are all that seperated them last time
Islam v Douglas, I aint seen John Douglas in a while but I reckon he'll want to prove his worth. He's capable of winning but not if he's as lazy as he used to be. No disrespect to him but he was guilty of doing just enough sometimes
Meikle v Jamison, I cant call this one but its a big sexy prospect. I think Meikle shaves it for experience but Jamison is an aggressive big hitter
Cullin v Mindin, Not a clue because I have no knowledge of Mindin. Cullin looke like he has a TKD background. Looking forward to this one
Good luck to all the fighters and lets pray for no more snow and safe journey home
Think Lin and John Cullen will be fight of the night, of the people i know and have seen fight before i think these two are the best technically. Both top guys as well!
Excellent event and a great high standard from all the fighters.
The kids were amazing
John Cullen took the result deservedly I think, but Lin Minden, WOW! what a tough boy. Fight of the night I thought.
Really impressed by Stevie Meikle, kept his engine running and total composure right through the 5 rounds
Title fight - im gutted for Paul Grant. Although im no judge I definately had him ahead on points by country mile before he got injured
Great night and thanks to all involved
thanks for your kind words blzbub, paul was outstanding taking the first 2 rounds well, im very proud of him he came back after the second round with a sore thigh, early in the third chris found this weaknes and to his credit he hammered it, a deserving victory and a superb comeback from chris, hes a nice kid and a great fighter. both will go on to do well in the adult divisions.
anyway ,i digress,
thank you to everyone who took part tonight i was a great show with a really good crown, some great fights (alegedlly, i didnt see to many of them) the john cullin Lyn Min-din fight was apparenty amazing, thank you especially to evryone who dug deep for the raffle and to those who brought raffle prizes especially evil al from wossobama who donated cussley gloves tshirts an shorts, all the money went to the family of one of maries 16 yr old students who died this week, im really proud that everyone pulled together to help this familly. thank you
cheers

AX IS BROKE I ONLY SENT THAT ONCE.
a touching moment at the end of the show was when yoda finnally came out the closet and told his girlfriend to find a real man, and as much as i was flattered i had to turn her down as im happily maried
Did joanne calderwood fight?
(Sit Ayuthaya )Paul Grant v Chris Shaw(Wossobama)(5x2)
Chris won by TKO in RD3 after an assault of knees to Paul's leg. Have to agree with above Paul was much cleaner with his scoring and has improved loads since I last saw him, not to mention he gets a few inches taller as well!
(NKT) John Cullon v lin mindin (Caledonian)
John won on points and it was a cracking fight and also close fight. I am a big fan of John's and he really does have a lot of potential once he gets some more composure through more ring experience. But it was the first time i saw Lin and I have to say I was really impressed with him, very relaxed and fluid with his techniques, he looked like he was an experienced pro, i can see big things for him!
(Caledonian) Stevie meikle v alan Jamison(NKT)(5x2)
Stevie won on points. Another cracking fight and it was very close fight, which would definitly justify a rematch in the future. Stevie used his experience in Thailand to pace the fight and also score a little better under Muay Thai rules to just take it in the last round. As I said, a close and cracking fight!
Joeanne Calderwood didn't fight.
Well done to the Sit Nai crew for putting on the show and to all the fighters, all of the fights I saw were really good!
Anybody got any pictures from last night? Also when will there be a dvd available, p.s it was a cracking night and an unforgetable experience.
Some just gone up on the
Caledonian Muay Thai website. Still working on some actions ones...
DVDs £10 from Stevie courtesy of Tom Brown methinks.

And to stevie (The Rannter) nisbit, After three year of promoting the shows together we were still speaking at the end of the night ( THAT'S A FIRST !!! )
And yoda nice t-shirt,can you get one for stevie, he's always realy wanted one he's just to shy to ask !!
Well done to young Gareth Mc Clure from Renfrew who won his junior bout with Stephen Boyle despite being a nervous wreck and well done to young Stephen who gave it his all!!!
thanx john it was a good first fight for stephen, he now knows wot to expect in the ring, well done gareth
A big well done to Wee Adam who won his fight well;) Hard work paid off.
Well done to Caitlin, Robert and especially Pauly pocket who fought superbly up until his injury. He shocked a few with his performance, He's on the way to the top:) Well done Paul!
Well done to peter killiard(NKT)
I changed my prediction here remember Bobby:)

Unlucky I was looking forward to that fight as well, not to worry though im sure you will get another fight soon.
yeah fingers crossed............hope one comes up soon!!
JoJo I thought your fight was matched at 55kg with a day before weigh-in..?
yeah i was told to be 53.9 just to be sure but it was goin to be between 54-55 but she was 5kilos over on the friday and even more on the sat, she weighed in at 61kilos
Thats only a stone of a difference, what you complaining about! LOL Only kidding Joanne. Good luck getting another match soon!
Your opponent weighed in at 56.5kg on Friday.
There was never meant to be a Saturday weigh-in.
Clearly a fighter is going to be heavier the day after having eaten and rehydrated in preparation for the fight.
A real shame all round as I think everyone was looking forward to the bout :-(
she knew she was over weight durin the week cause i was talkin to this guy that was trainin with her and he said when he asked if she was lookin forward to the fight she said "yeah if i make the weight"
yeah it was a shame... cant believe i was trainin way a bin bag on and here i could of had they extra kilos as well as a fight
gary....you were there you could of jumped in, in place of me
Is there a ruling that allows novice fighters to weigh in the day before a fight??
Joanne, if you fought like you did at barrhead, you'd probably have done better than me anyway! As for getting back to below 60kg, well lets just say I'm glad I'm not fighting till March!
John, not that I know of, but we will have one soon!
better change your profile then light weight ;op
i'l meet you half way for a fight!
LOL. Right, thats a match! My profile does say 60kg(ish).
sorry never noticed the (ish)anyway after that weekend im probably about your weight haha had a bit too much sat and sun....im still recovering! :o/
it'd need to be well before march,i cant wait that long for a fight lol
Thats just a common Ayrshire thing, always wanting a scrap, especially when you have been on the sauce all weekend! LOL
wooooo fight talk...............cheeky cheeky! :op
first time i've been on the sauce for a while
Ahem??? Sorry for interupting,is this a lonely hearts thai boxing chat room?
Gary and Joanne up a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!
Just ignore him Joanne, he's just upset that I stole his thunder with the Ayrshire dig! One of John's usual catch phrases is "Ya bunch of Ayrshire Scum!", followed by pretending to spit on the floor! LOL. He's getting a bit crazy in his old age, I used to think that he was Peter Pan to!
cant wait 2 see teh dvd :)
lol dont worry i no your jealous john but if u really love ayrshire so much theres plenty of room :op
I have to publicly confess to something! I was given a T-shirt that someone said I won in the raffle, but just found out that it was another Gary O'Brien from Caley MT. So my apologies for accepting your t-shirt mate, but ironically it got nicked off me that night! LOL
has anyone got any pictures
Check the Muay Thai Mayhem Photo's thread!

Anybody want to buy a t-shirt??
Wossobama Jojo. Having fought and had a fight cancelled at the last minute myself, I understand as many other fighters do, that it is frustrating when it happens as you feel you have trained hard for nothing. However, I know the girl you were matched with and as far as I understand fight was matched at 55kg for a day before weigh in. I realise that you probably trained hard for your fight but she also worked hard to make the weight, especially as she had three weeks to fight train and lose the weight. I spoke to her a number of times in the week leading up to the fight and your comment of 'she knew she was over weight during the week' appears to be completely unfounded and based on hearsay. I understand the position you're coming from but to base you opinions on 'i heard from someone who was talking to someone' and post them on the internet is a little unfair in my eyes.
You are both marked, that my 95kgs mates T-shirt LOL
One T-shirt is being returned by post even as we speak!
No worries guys he says it was a medium, and unless it was two, that he could have sowen together he will wait for santa.
LoL
Awe the best
The DVDs are now available from
