Unlicensed Boxing is a disgrace and should be banned

Go anywhere near unlicensed boxing and :
1. I will report you to the martial arts comission
2. you will become a Dark Man
3. You will end up in prison or dead possibly
4. You are likely to like getting into trouble

Kick boxing idiot, what are you a copper??

You're certainly a grass, that much is obvious - "" I will report you to the martial arts comission"" -

It's not illegal and the two shows I've been to have had medical staff on site and weren't that much different from normal boxing shows I've been to in terms of the set up. Though the fighters were generally of a lower standard.

I can only go by the ones I have attended. Janie, what was the set up of this show like??

FOGGY
Posted: 2006-04-04 05:21:49
The set up is the same as any shows

Proper medical staff
proper reff
lot of shows you still have to wear head guard.

There isnt anything ilegal about these shows

Loooks like kickboxing knob is just on here to cause trouble he as said some crap on another topic

I have a few mates who fght on the unlicensed circuit down south and they all say how well run the shows are , im not sure if kickboxing-idiot is taking the piss or not , hes appeared on few other threads over the last few days

Kickboxing Idiot, If you dont like a paticular thread just dont read it as I am very intrested in unlicensed so am pretty keen on reading topics like this from our buddy Jamie.

So can we not have any threats please. We like to share our thoughts with our Ax community.
Thank you.

Why are you likely to end up in prison? Just because people like to box, in a controlled environment, it doesnt make them a villain.
JD
Posted: 2006-04-04 09:25:02
It's pretty much the same as any kickboxing or Muay Thai show, just means it's not licenced by the British Board of Boxing Control
Mo Islam
Posted: 2006-04-04 10:28:35
It's Illegal though ?
phil
Posted: 2006-04-04 11:06:36
I dont think its illegal, just not sanctioned.
JD
Posted: 2006-04-04 11:33:21
It's legal. Same principle as kickboxing or Muay Thai. They are run in pretty much the same way
Baz Faulty
Posted: 2006-04-04 11:51:15
Frank Warren started off promoting unlicenced shows nowt a matter with them just the board hasn't sanctioned them. Theres still medical cover and that there.

It would only be illegal if it was bare knuckle in someones barn lol I hear that sort of rustic thing happens a lot in the Midlands along with playing the banjo and marrying your cousins. Duelling banjos quality lol

Ta for the back up boys you know ive been on here long time now. Show as shown above had weigh in, medical, paramedics, pro boxing ref who had fought up to area title level, venue security who work normal trading nights and fights were matched through levels of age, experience in various disciplines whether pro or am. Unlicenced is not illegal just not sanctioned by BBE for a boxing event. The same as kick/thai is sanctioned by the organisation who runs it as we are not recognised by Sport Council for stuff like Lotto funding.

I would lean to more describing this as "Independent Boxing" in future.

Same as the recently popular "White Collar Boxing" but maybe even more controlled.

Thai / Kickboxing shows are run consistently at a very high standard without the so called "Licence" system in place. But this does not make them "Illegal".

Anyway not so I have noticed.
HerrCutt

Also with all respect to Kickboxing Idiot. His profile appears to lean awy from the Full Contact circuit and as such he probably has little idea what goes on?

look at the photos above of pat versus gilly. that is pat scmeider (or schmeider). he is a very talented fighter with a heart of gold. despite getting battered around the ring all night and going down on several occasions he still fought on. he also lost his fight. Jamie, can you post more photos of this lovely package of naughty franco-germanic fun please.

This night was brilliant, every fight was very good. i loved the bit where the ring got stormed by scouse lads, it was just like the WWE. i also noticed that the great Lee Charles was present at ringside, taking notes for future reference. the evening was spoilt a bit by the idiots who kept shouting "LEE CHARLES" at the tops of their voices between rounds and between fights. Lee Charles kept turning round to see who it was but these 2 idiots kept ducking down every time he looked. come to think of it, what was Lee Charles doing at ringside? Maybe he was there to scout future opponents. Or maybe he was there to get a closer look at the delectable Pat Schmeider.

With regard to my comments on the unlicensed boxing
my apologies , it is not illegal but i do not like it at all.

AndyC i will be watching your posts with interest as you are now beginning to seem like the aformentioned dark men involved in unlicensed sports.
As for my occupation, that is not your concern.

Mo Islam , I find you lack of respect disturbing.

Herrcutt in all fairness I have competed in San Da which is a more of a full contact discipline than is american style kickboxing. San Da allows kicking to the legs and the use of throws, sweeps, takedowns and limited Chin na. My experience in sporting combat however, my Xing Da outweighs my San Da. Xing Da is continuous sparring which allows heavy contact to the body and the wearing of protective padding.

Snail im sorry if it seemd like i was taking the proverbial piss as that was not my intention. Having said that you seem like a rather spirited fellow with an interesting sense of humour and all credit goes to yourself for you. I look forward to meeting your mother shortly if she is as attractive as everyone keeps saying.

Jamie you have my utmost admiration on entering such a dangerous match in a sport such as the above

Thank you all for your feedback
kind regards
Neil

Neil,

I did not say you lacked in experience in any type of combat sport...

I said you probably had little involvement with the FC Circuit (Incl. MT) where things are dealt with as more of a sport that an MA especially on the promoting side.

Kickboxing Idiot you should expect such harsh retorts when you make stupid commenst like you did.

No one likes a "tell tale" didn't you learn that at school? Your "I will report you to the martial arts commission" remark was particularly vomit inducing and convinced me you're a complete tit. No offence !!!

It's unlicensed not illegal. Set up an association then it's licensed to. And to end my 1.5 pence worth. If they get higher standards and keep the politics out that drag sanctioned boxing down they may just go a long way with it

I know of a couple of police men who have entered unlicenced boxing!!!, it is not illegal, neither is bare knuckle fighting, the illegal element comes from the gambling associated with the events only.
There are a number of gyms pro boxing and amateur that have unclicenced guys fighting out of them.
Ask in any of the established pro boxing gyms and you should be able to find someone who has a contact on these circuits.
