As far as i know there is a rematch on this show from Master Skens last September. James France from Badcompany Leeds Vs Stevie Patterson SMTC. James won a convincing points victory in Sept but Stevie is one tough guy. James fought on the pain and glory show last night KO'ing Tim Thomas in round 2 Elbow then Knee to head so hopefully James is un injured and will still be able to show his skills in Scotland.

jeez, you don't check the web for a day or two and every b@stard jumps out of the woodwork suggesting you take it up the pumper. You Thai boxers are a vicious lot.
And for the record I usually prefer to let the lucky ladies jump on top & ride the piston.

That's LADIES not laddies.

Noi thats one fight I'm looking foward to, with James stopping Tim Thomas he must be on a high, but Stevie is one hellavu tough boy who is looking sharp, powerful and wants a bit of revenge. This looks to be a crackin fight cannae wait. Reckon it will be a stoppage by elbows

Ally any word on the final line up?

Posted: 2006-05-25 07:10:56
I'm printing the programmes tomorrow, so I'll confirm all details on the line up with John tonight. I know Terry Brett from Lumpini has pulled out and we've rematched Graham Pringle with a new fighter. I think we've now got Ruth Ashdown from Crawley matched with Hilary Mack from Caledonian, which will be a cracker, but again I'll get all this confirmed tonight.

Thats about the only decent pic I've got, I do have a good one of me headbutting Big Frank hofstetters elbow. :)

Few changes to the card, I believe Hilary mack is stepping into fight Ruth Ashdown, Graham Pringles opponent has changed and I think is Chris Carmicheal and I'm now fighting Kenny Burnett. Should be a really good show with loads of talent from four good Scottish clubs.

Well done Kenny on your comeback fight, all the hard work paid off, was a very good match going the full 5 rounds, you really showed the young guys what its all about!! Also well done Hilary, really enjoyed your fight started off well matched but you soon pulled ahead with some good knee work, that girls ribs looked very sore!! Ouch!

Any more results? Who was Kenny fighting?
keepyerguardup
Posted: 2006-05-28 13:56:28
dan durick was robbed. kenny pushed forward for most of the fight but dan landed the cleaner techniques and should have took the decision by three rounds at least.
keepyerguardup
Posted: 2006-05-28 14:01:22
the james france v steve patterson was tremendous a real war with both landing good elbows throughout in the 5th round james landed a right hook just to the back of steves head and it was lights out. but up until then it had been a cracker, really close, and both guys will have the scars to prove it.
nice one.

Yes, have to agree with keepyerguardup. Dan landed by far the cleaner shots with some great long knees, & took most of Kenny's shots on the gloves. Dan usually fights at a much lighter weight (about 6 kilos I think) so had to adopt more of a hit & move strategy, but I don't think because Kenny was coming forward more, he should have won that one, but it was close.
I didn't get to fully see most of the other fights, so I'll let someone else post all the results. Stevie & James' was a cracker though.
I have a couple of pics, but forgot to charge the batteries, like a tit, so just the early fights. Will try & get them up tonight.
Dj_Lex
Posted: 2006-05-28 14:59:20
Hit and move, what you really mean is run away, hehe. Kenny was attacking all the time he wasnt walking forward for the sake of it, he did his best to cut him off at the corners and did some good work, working some nice boxing combinations and also some good leg kicks and kicks inside commiting fully to his techniques, Daniel did give a good performance with some single shot punches landing and landed some nice knees later in the fight, Kenny did the better work in the clinch with some good unanswered side knees, also kenny landed at leat 8 straight 1,2, combinations in a rown again unanswered, kenny had the higher workrate and higher success rate, I would say that out of the exchanges Daniel looked the worst off and consistently backed up at times turning away to make his retreat and showing signs of weakness, a good decision by the judges, well done again Kenny after beating a guy almost half your age!!!
Dj_Lex
Posted: 2006-05-28 15:00:28
p.s. there wasnt even 2 kilos of a difference at the weigh in so his strategy did not reflect any difference in weight!

GREAT DAY FUCKIN SUPERB FIGHTS james and steve s fight was a bellter with james coming away with the win but a huge cut above the left eye half a vale of glue to close it steve had a few cuts to but what a war chris and graham s fight was great with chris working the hands well and graham with super low kicks dint c meny of the other fights but from the reaction of the crowd it must have been good .
sorry dan was robbed he wobbled kenny a few times with kness to the head and sharp punches good on kenny for comming forward but dont think he had an answer to dans strategy dan landed the far cleaner shots

I was at this show as well today, big well done to Mansoor, great win. And Hilary Mack was class, her knees were devastating and eventually too much for her opponent stopping her in the 5th, well done Hil great fight. The last fight was a cracker with Badger France winning in the 5th round great end to the show. Steve Patterson is a tough lad.
