Not bad at all to be honest. Farang run gym but very good tuition. That was 5 years ago though.
Nice place to go and stay and great place if you're into dance music as well.

Firstly thanks for the memories!I watched Peter Hopkins fight many times and he was one of the first English fighters to take on and realy fight "Thai style" I know that people often talk about the old days as better than now but i think the one thing we had back then was innocence! The thing to remember that in the 90s when Thais came over to fight it was all brand new to us ,exciting for the fighters and exciting for the fans.

Have to agree with Rdouble about when Thais 1st started coming over on Toddys show and Master skens it was magical really as the crowd really wanted our boys to win as they was up against it guess we are a bit spoilt now.

the Muaysiam cover is of Muu Haapalang who was shot dead at ringside. He was a major underworld figure and had several top boxers under his control such as Chamuekpetch Haapalang and Panomthuenleek Haapalang. If you have the best of Songchai sereis 2 vcd the fight it happened in is on it. It was between Langsuan Panyuthapoom and Chamuekpetch Haapalang and the assasination takes place at the end of the 4th round. On the cd Songchai explains about what happens and you hear the gunshots at the end.

They forgot to put his name, Ghost Tiger's name is Sakchai Nakpayak.

I was given this book from someone that went to a Muay Thai Convention in Hong Kong. I believe you may be able to get a copy from Alex Tsui who is the president of the "Khunchieng MuayThai Society". It has lots of history in there, things going on in the international scene throughout the years as well.

The last time I saw Mark Lee was a few months ago when I was cycling home from work and he overtook me on his bike. It'll be some time over winter but I can't remember exactly when. Haven't seen him down at Bad Co for ages.

Personally I'm interested to know when Dave Jackson had hair, and what the woman kneeling next to the Thai in red shorts is about to do.
